Money might not be able to buy happiness, but it can sure get you pretty damn close to it.

I remember seeing one of those as a little kid in a car museum in Frankfurt. It is still THE sexiest looking Mercedes to have ever been made.

I'll never afford the car but I'd pay to spend a day or two just hanging out in that garage.

Exactly. They are gorgeous, and automotive icons, and will always be worth top $$$.

If you want to drive one on a regular basis, the 300SL roadster is the choice.

Yeah yesterday after I gave it a spirited run and picked up 9 supermodels whilst building my supercomputer to take over the world.

I imagine they are pretty difficult to enter/exit?

Would love to have the opportunity someday...

And then, the rarest of the rare: the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe. Only two were made, both with custom enclosed bodywork. They were based on the W196 open top race cars, despite the 300SL gullwing looking bodywork. One of the open top cars was the vehicle in which the 1955 LeMans disaster occurred.

Yes, that giant side-thingy is a muffler.

It's pretty brutal getting in and out of, you have to step over about a foot and then down about 2

I am sure willing to try and see. Although, I must say we have done good as far as money is concerned but it sure doesn't take the place of happiness. Beautiful though.....
