s2000 would be a cool car to own for awhile. Depends how practical you need a car though.

Or get a Mcoupe! The clutch isnt that easy to learn on by you can learn

7k? damn that limits my fun factor.... maybe a e36 with high miles.

I wouldnt bother getting a bmw for 7k though. Maybe a 240sx or somthing.

also, are you still keeping your CLS as a daily driver?

If so then a bmw E30 could be fun to toss around and has minor maintance if needed. Should be able to get one for under 5k and then you can use 2k for some goodies!

I bought an 88 vert to screw around with- 80 K and in unbelievable shape( both body and engine- even the paint is good)- I bought a Florida car and imported it into Canada. I've only got around $5k into it, so I can mod the crap out of it without feeling too guilty- This summer I am going to work on the tires and suspension

Haven't done much other than put a chip in, but it's a great toy- highly recommended.

E30 are good cars to learn stick on. Thats where I learned, on my dads 325is. If you get an E30, try an get a later one, like 90-91 as they have the nicer bumpers and a driver side airbag.

Our E30 is great, its as reliable as the rest of the cars in our family and its over 3-4 times as old. Plus, slap on a good suspension and tires and they stick to the road. We can take off ramps without even slowing down . E36s are a little nicer, but more money. They have a lot more mods though, not to say that its slim pickins for E30 mods.

ob1 has bigger mod potential. Plus 95s are much cheaper.

Many people with later M3s switch to the OBD1 system as its less restrictive and allows for greater potential from mods.
