Yes! The M5 turned out AMAZING

It made me go to cars.com to see how much a 2000-2002 M5 runs...

I'm really surprised this show doesn't get much attention around here, it's pretty much what many on here are interested in. What I love most is that you actually learn how stuff works and how to go about fixing things while he is refurbishing a car.

If I had a third of Edd's wrench skills, my life would have been much easier with my BMW

I love the show. Would love a TVR S2.

Great show. Love how they are realistic about how it shows 3 minutes to pullout an interior, but they say it took Edd 5 hours. So mortals would be a few days.

Imagine how long it would take normal folk to tear down a Morgan +4 to parts and build it back!

Probably two years

Said it was 150 hours worth of skilled labor. Figure twice that for a donkey like me.

Six hours a weekend for 50 weekends is 300 hours. And that is basically one day every weekend without fail for a year.

Love this show. I swear there was another thread started on it, but whatevs. Did anyone else notice they threw new tires on the refurbished wheels on last nights episode but didn't include it in the parts? The tires that were on it when they bought it were mismatched and had camber wear, but no mention of the new Falkens that were on it when they mounted the wheels. After all it is TV.

I did see that they got new tires but didn't notice it wasn't included in the cost summary. Probably wouldn't have been a good idea to do 160+ on those old tires!

Very true. I have see them re-use stuff they had laying around not related to the car they were working on during the show. Maybe they had extra tires?

I love this show. I too searched for an E39 M5. I just don't have the wrench skills to maintain a car like that

I do also love this show. What I don't like is the unrealistic claims that they made money on the car when selling. If you even included half the labor cost every car they sold would be way under water. It's fine not to include the labor cost, but don't brag about how you made all this profit on the car by flipping it.

Well, that is true but if you spent a week on something and made $2k off the labor, wouldn't you say that was income?

That and it is a TV Show

House Hunters ruined TV for me because I wasn't really thinking about it before.

Makes me wonder if the people buying the car already bought it or if he is haggling. Plus I am sure the purchase of the cars are all staged :/

"Hold out your hand!"

I also have this show recording weekly. Not a bad show, and when I repair cars I sell, my tech is on the clock, so he doesn't get paid for the job, rather he gets paid by the week, so it's the same for me for the most part, as far as not factoring in labor to the job.

I like Edd, though Mike can be annoying at times..

I agree-I like the show too. But they sell their cars way too low. They don't take into account all of Edd's time fixing these cars.

Wish BBC America would run their episodes of Top Gear in full length and not two years behind

BBCA was doing pretty well showing the episodes only a few months behind. But I hated how they had commercials.

And then they edited the episodes to fit into an hour rather than making them 90 mins with commercials.

I still don't understand why. So they can show another episode of Cash in the Attic?

Damn the G-Wagen still looks awesome.

It's pretty amazing how well they are holding their value in the UK. All those Chelsea soccer moms I guess.

Anyone else find it weird that both the seller and buyer of the G were not present?

It is weird. At least the wife was on camera for the purchase, I guess. But it feels like a journalist only using anonymous quotes.

Pay a donkey in Cyprus with a handy cam and record the other end of a phone call with Mike for the sale. Send video via internet.

Not that hard, really.

I still haven't been able to figure out what Mike says at the very end of the episode. It sounds to me like he is saying "Tell on" and I just can't figure it out...
