I worked on a 850 Csi not too long ago. Now that is a car I would love to own.

most dealers are being ass bags and have a 10-20 grand mark ups over sticker
kind of like when the first generation Sti hit. dealers around here were having sticker+ about 10 grand i heard.
i'll admit the M3 and C63 both put down some wicked ass numbers. but i'd wait till 09 when dealers chill out on the whole "I can charge sticker + 10-20 grand "

Well first of all, there is no K20 motor for US spec Atoms anymore. Plus I wanted something more practical. The Atom just won't work on Portland's undermaintained roads. Plus there is the safety factor. A lot of idiot drivers out there and I dont want to chance it on public roads. I'd basically need to buy a truck to tow it in a trailer... Thats a lot of money I'd rather not spend.

And if you can find a spare K20, they'll install it too.

#1. B18C1(i think) Integra GS-R motor. this is probably the cheapest of the bunch
#2. B18C5 Integra Type R motor this motor i had in a 91 CRX Si its hella expensive motor a JDM motor with tranny runs about 5-6 grand. you'll dyno about 200 crank hp before you do the first thing to it
#3. If you got crazy bank account and good luck find a RDX that's totalled pull it out of a salvage yard. and pull the engine. you'll dyno about 240 hp no mods done to it. but this route is expensive.

The car was perfect with the supercharged colbalt ss motor. I drove it at limerock and the power delivery was not peaky like a k20 it was very linear and strong at any rpm. If I was buying an atom I wouldnt even consider another engine.

now the hot rod cobalt you can is the sport package which isn't near as "set up" as the SS.
