What's this Porsche worth?
Alright guys I need some help here, a friend of mine and I are trying to sell our Subaru Outback, and this guy wants to trade. I don't know anything about Porsche's so I need some help determining weather this would be worth it or not. What do you think its worth?
Info
- 1986 Porsche
- Right hand Drive
- Clean Title
- 126k Miles on the car
Here are some pictures of it

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Most likely, much less than your friend's Outback.
As mentioned, it's a 944. I actually like 944s, and they make a great track car. Unfortunately, except for a few speciality models, they have absolutely no resale value. This particular car, a 1986 (it would have the better dash actually), 126K miles, grey market, wrong wheels, and uneven body panels is worth even less. It's worth about $3000.00. Tops. Likely even less than that.

If it was something far more exotic and not sold in the US, then there would be an argument for it. For a 944, it's probably more of a liability.

I was reminded of a 944 buyers guide I saw in Grassroots Motorsports in May 2010 (V.27#3) This 944 does not have investment potential. The two models that are worth collecting (according to GRM) are the 944Turbo and the 944S2.

I once saw a 924GTR (very rare racing model) in the teacher parking at Univ. Ill. I was there on a visit, I was really curious into how the owner got it and into the US.
This right hand drive 944 I'd steer clear of.

the 944 has a love/hate following.
for a base model, it's not worth much. and the performance isn't there.
now if it were a Turbo S we'd be on a different ball park. (great performance and dubbed the best handling car in the world in it's time)
we've had two 944's. one turbo and one still in the works for something big..
that said, pass on this one.
