im new to the board i was wondering whats faster in the 1/4??

hey have you taken your spec-v to the drag? What times did you get? My buddy has one and i always wondered.

I'd say all things being equal the G35 would edge it out.

i knew those things were peppy. My buddy does a good job of keeping up with me when we race. Then again i am on snow tires :o

thanks its quick not fast though.. my best run stock when it wasnt broken in and i wasnt that good at stick yet, was a 15.58, launching was hard its not that easy at all to launch a spec v, if u get alot of wheel hop its hard ot get a good time... but stock that was the time... and u have a bmw 330 ci and the spec runs with u?? how many cars do u beat him by? i wonder how much a cl-s will beat me by an automatic ofcourse?

according to motortrend ( I think that was the one ) , the cl-type S was .1 seconds faster to 60 than the G35 coupe auto.
But I think it would be dead even and depend on the driver.

 

I currently drive a CL-S and have driven the auto G35 a couple of times. The G feels much faster off the line, but doesn't have the high RPM pick-up that the CLS has. I'd say they'd both be dead even after 60MPH.

 

G35 is RWD. I feel that is more important than 'faster.'

 

I'm over in Merrick. Nice times on the Spec V w/ just an intake!

 

according to a recent test done by edmonds the G coupe auto just might edge out the cls auto in the 1/4. here's a link to their performance numbers:

they got those numbers buy using sport shift on the G! Judging by the trap seed, I'd say the G would be pulling hard as hell too!
