I kinda like the TSX with that grill setup. It has somewhat of an aggressive look to it.
Drop a V6 in it, give it SH-AWD and then maybe you'll have something there.
Car and Driver werent too happy with the TL either.

FMC - Full Model Change
MMC - Minor Model CHange (in the 3rd year of the model)
and another FMC when the model is 5 years old...
There are exemptions like the NSX and S2000 that went out far too long without FMCs...

The New Accord is hawt... to bad acura doesn't have somehting that looks similar... Acura uses the platform, but messes up on the styling.

2 years... In case you haven't noticed, most H/A models are on a five year program...

Much like Honda did when everyone bitched about the 7gen accords rear end. Or when people bitched about the last gen 7 series.
If the public hates it that much, they can and SHOULD listen to their customers and change it.

4G TL although it has slowly grown on me it's been out for quite sometime I still look at it in awe and wonder how it made it to production...

Yeah, I think the 7G Accord Sedan rear was about as bad as anything I've seen. How quick did they change it?

Hehe. It's fun to talk about other cars which aren't so pretty. I have a 2008 Focus Coupe (thank GOD I don't have the model with the fake chrome fender vents!!!!), and while it's not as hideous as an Aztec or anything, it's not a pretty car.
It looks like what it is : an econobox. Which I can deal with
I do think the Civic, Sentra, hell even the lowly Cobalt have better styling though. But the Dodge Caliber .. woof woof.
Has there been a 'prettiest' Honda/Acura thread yet? I'd submit NSX, S2000, 5G Prelude, perhaps some others if I thought on it a while. For its time the 3G Prelude was a really sharp car (still looks good if maintained well).

I am preety sure alot of people here hating on 4G TL haven't seen one in person. Don't flame me, I used to think same thing but I went to dealer for some parts for my 1G TL and I saw it in the lot and I was instantly in love with it...

I've seen several. The more I see it in person the more I hate it.

There was a little more to the story the overall lead on the C5/C6 Vette worked with the Aztek's lead stylist previously on the Cadillac Atlante.
Maybe the marketing folks from Pontiac gave ridiculous requirements?

As to someone's earlier reference to the TSX, I think it's ok looking....but with the upcoming V6, I officially became a fan of it. It's one of those deals (not unlike the 02-03 Maxima or E60 BMWs) where the performance pretty much outweights styling concerns.
Back on topic, I'm not certain how much mid-generation styling enhancement we could expect from Acura on the 4G. If the prior generations are any indicator, maybe some tinkering with the head and/or taillights with an OEM ground effects package available as an accessory.

I find it funny that the people in the 4g section get so angry about people calling their car ugly. I'd probably be mad too if I bought the car only to find out that everyone hates it

Was that just a MMC or, like I think, they did much sooner because of everyone bitching about it.

She said: it's GINORMOUS!
had one 4G TL tail gate my ass on the Wantagh Expressway today, all i see from the rearview is that ugly ass grille. i moved over and puked in my mouth.
fugly as sin, pretty much despise the current acura styling and hope they have the guts to change it asap.

2005 made most of the taillights red (hybrid shown but it was the same taillights for that year)

2006/2007 redid the entire trunk and rear panels, not just the taillights. And switched them to LED's too.

What other Acuras were really as ugly as the 4g TL? I dont count the SLX, as it was a rebadged Isuzu.
The NSX is a great looking car, and I personally think it will always be that way. I am not a fan of the 94-up Integra front end, but its not as bad as the 4g TL. The new MDX is really nice. I like the RDX alot. The TSX isnt that bad, and the new RL is actually quite attractive.
Theres no reason to even mention the Legend and Vigor as those are the vehicles that started Acura and still are very timeless shapes today. I am not a fan of the RSX, but again, not as bad as the 4g TL.
Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Well 2003/2004 Accord sedans had the red over white Buick taillights.

2006/2007 redid the entire trunk and rear panels, not just the taillights. And switched them to LED's too.
