What is the Ugliest Car Honda/Acura Has Every Made?

So after posting in a thread in the 4G TL section I figured this might get some good responses here.

What is the ugliest car Honda/Acura has ever made? Off the top of my head I have to go with the Honda Element and/or the 4G Acura TL. And once they decided to paint all the body panels on the Element and get rid of the 'tupperware' look it doesn't look that bad anymore so I think my answer is the 4G TL.

Evening going way back to the 80's I really can't think of anything that looks worse. I thought about making a poll but there's just too many cars to list.

The 4g is MUCH improved with a little color match paint work.

The original Insight was a little fugly.

The original Element was pretty nasty. It's come a long way though.

The TL on the other hand has gone the opposite direction. It'd have to say that the 4G TL could be the ugliest car they have come up with.

4G TL. About as ugly as the Pontiac Aztec.

I think the 4G TL looks like they took a Toyota Camry and just sharpened the edges a bit and added an interior loaded with tech stuff.

I thought someone would have come up with something else by now. I was getting killed in this thread by the 4G TL guys because I said their car was ugly.

I have some very bad news for them - the 4G TL is a strong competitor against the original Insight and Element.

Well no one likes being told their car is ugly. If I had a 4g TL I would definitely be doing some painting at the least.

I was stuck in traffic next to a 4G TL the other day and the owner probably thought I was a deranged lunatic(the fact I was naked riding a unicycle is a moot detail), I just couldn't stop staring. Normally the longer I look at a car, the more I like it or at the very least it grows on me, that was not the case with the new TL. I really want to like it, I like what it offers, but not the price, but the front and rear just don't work, I think the profile is close to being good. The new TSX really grew on me, to the point I nearly bought one, and I enjoy looking at them still.

Otherwise, I think the next ugliest is the SLX.

I think this has something to do with expectations and the audience this car attracts as Acura's best seller. The Insight, Ridgeline and Element are all pretty ugly but they don't affect as large as an audience or the same type of audience the TL does.

I know I am going to get flamed for saying this, but I'm getting a little more comfortable to the 4G TL. I still think it's an abomination compared to the 3G(which I just bought btw :P) and it's nothing I would ever buy by any means but still, I wouldn't turn down a TL SH-AWD if you handed me the keys.

Second in line would be the 1g Element.

The Honda 600, the first Honda car was utilitarian, but also the least attractive car ever made by Honda, even including the 4G TL, Element, Ridgeline and Insight.

The 4G TL was a shock at first, but now it is growing on me.

The 1986 Integra 4-door was much uglier.

I think everything mentioned looks better than the Sterling. At least the Insight had some sort of purpose.

Sterling was just a rebadged Legend. I don't think the Legend is ugly.

Personal preference I guess, but my wife had a 1986 Integra 5 door and I though it was one of the best styled Acura's that still looked good after two decades. Besides being reliable, light, and it was really fun to drive even with only 113HP.

I didn't like the 4G at first (actually I hated it), but I saw a AWD on the highway the other day in some silver color and it looked pretty beast, probably because the grille blended in. It really stands out from the rest of the cars on the road, thats for sure. At first glance, it looks like some kind of concept car doing some road testing, very futuristic design. Then again, it did have the 19" wheels, quad exhaust, spoiler, and tinted windows. With a color matched grille, and maybe smoke the tails I think it could look pretty decent.

I'm still trying to figure out how it looks like a Camry though? Those pictures mr steve posted show zero relationship (except maybe the front wheel arch and high pointed headlights, but I think Toyota stole a lot of the design cues from the 3G TL for its front end)

Yes, that's the 600.

I do have some pretty big issues with the 4G TL and decided not to even test drive one, but the exterior hideousness can be ameliorated somewhat by body color choice and painting of the grill and trim (check out the 4G's trunk line and trim sometime! ).

I had one as my second car. It was tan and ugly. It also had an automatic, which began my disdain for Honda auto transmissions.

I love the 2-door hatch, but there is something about the 4-door hatch that makes me want to slap children.

Wow, I liked both (prefered the 5 door slightly) and more so than than the 2G and 3G Integra's (although I loved the RSX). My wife's was a light blue (great color) 5MT, the early Honda/Acura 3AT's were pretty pathetic. That was a engine made for a manual transaxle, it loved to rev up to 7K redline.

The lines of the 1G 5 door flowed really well, they used angles and curves equally. The result was a exterior/interior design that didn't scream "80's" when you looked at it.
