Being a former EP3 owner I'm surprised no one has mentioned it as being ugly since it was ridiculed when it first came out.

I doubt the 4G TL would ever grow on me.
Edit: BTW the 3G TL design was way ahead of its time when it first came out, design reminds of the 90 Legend, even after a decade that design felt right at home with other cars and the same goes for the 3G TL. Acura could have used the same design with minor tweaking every now and then for another 5 years easily.
I still remember seeing the concept for the first time at NY auto show back in 02~03

this sums it up nicely. i don't actually think that the 4g tl is the ugliest honda/acura ever in history, but it failed so hard compared to new gen cars in it's class like the IS, 3-series, etc. i instantly liked the new IS and bangled 3 and 5-series so to see the 4g tl was such a disapointment. it hasn't gotten any better now that i've seen it in person. the car looks best in black...when you can't see the lines on the body.

I might be weird because I really like the Ridgeline...in bottom trim its vanilla but brush guard, roof rails, black wheels, etc make it look really good.
The element....love it or hate, I like it...the SC trim took it to a better level.
Insight....first gen is whatever, cool little jetsons mobile. New one is nice, though Prius-ish.

I like the 8G Accord a lot. Test drove a 4-cyl and brought it home for a family member. Its a great car, it was non-navi so it had a few less buttons and while it seemed like there were a lot of them at first, I quickly got used to it. The styling grew on me pretty quickly.
oh and the EP3 is the hatchback Civic Si, from 02-05 I think. Its the one with the bent shifter.

Yeah, but the shifter was just awesome. I wish more cars had the same positioning. That's the thing that bothers me a little.... I don't like the shifter positioning on most manual FWD cars and most trucks. My arms are kinda short for my height and I'm picky about my driving position... can't be too close or too far from the steering wheel. But then I end up reaching for 3rd and 5th! /rant

And yes I drove one. I did like the driving ergonomics.
And the Euro civic is badass.
Was much nicer than whatever gen civic we had at the time...the 01-???

4G TL. I dislike the exterior as well as the interior.

I only looked through the first page, I was surprised to see no one mentioned the Honda Pilot. It looks like an ugly fat kid, to be honest.
Lets not forget Toyota is starting to go down south with their Lexus brand the new GX and LX look awful.

The TL though, it just keeps getting uglier.

i personally dont think the new TL is bad looking... It definately is a fail comparing to the 3g, but everyone says that it is completely ugly/ugliest car acura ever made, cause it is the most recent out of the eff ups... just came out... no one really remembers other crap designs acura had. the anticipaction for the 4g tl was just too high, and acura delivered something completely opposite from what ppl wanted to see, as the 3g was a HUGE success...

The NSX is a great looking car, and I personally think it will always be that way. I am not a fan of the 94-up Integra front end, but its not as bad as the 4g TL. The new MDX is really nice. I like the RDX alot. The TSX isnt that bad, and the new RL is actually quite attractive.
Theres no reason to even mention the Legend and Vigor as those are the vehicles that started Acura and still are very timeless shapes today. I am not a fan of the RSX, but again, not as bad as the 4g TL.
Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

ITs amazing to me just how fast the turnaround was though. Just one generation ago, Honda/Acura finally got their styling mojo back with the 3G TL, the first TSX, and even the last RL. All 3 were great looking cars and it looked like Acura was ditching the lame styling that plagued prior TL/CL/RL's. But just one design later we're stuck with possibly the worst looking Acuras ever made with the new TL, RL, and TSX (not as bad a fail as the TL, but not as pretty as the first gen TSX by far). Just kinda makes you scratch your head. Someone should be fired....

A-TSX Oldie
I guess I'm in the minority here. Other than the massive overhang which accentuates the stub nose of the 4G TL (or is it the other way around?), I find the rest of the car pretty nice actually. As for the new TSX, first looks were so-so; but after seeing it a few more times, I actually begin to think it looks better than my 1G.
What do I find ugly? I'm surprised no one's brought up the RDX. That rear end reminds me of some obese person dragging his/her junk up the street. Never a fan of the 1G and 2G CL either. And I still think the 7G accord had the ugliest front end of any Accord ever made.

Then it all went downhill so quickly, the bold styling period started with the MDX. The bold worked for the MDX, but everything that followed (4G TL, 2G TSX, MMC 2G RL) has been overboard, even the 8G Accord is bit too much.

I had a 89 1G Legend, although I liked it I really wanted a 2G Legend. It had a longitudinal mounted V6 with the differential under the engine allowed a very short front overhang and 112" wheelbase. There's a couple in the parking lot at work, still looks good today much more so than most Acura's after it (1G RL, 1G TL, 2G TL).
Been thinking about getting my daughter one for her first car if a I can find a decent GS 6MT.
I doubt the 4G TL would ever grow on me.

sad thing about the 4G TL is that it's a waste of a beautiful interior.
i think the TSX is the best of acura's sedans and perhaps overall (maybe the MDX instead). but it's all in perspective. the TSX is the best looking sedan out of a bunch of uglies. like picking the least ugliest girl out of uglies.

I like the new TSX compared to other current models, but compared to my 1G it's just... blah. I can't get excited about it at all. There's one that parks at my work, and I try to like it when I look at it, but it's just not that great.
The TL gets uglier every time I look at it. I actually have to agree that I like the new Camry better, and it makes me sad to say that.

The 4G TL is a very nicely sculpted car... the profile looks pretty nice. The fender bulge I don't mind so much anymore. But the front and rear just kill it, and the car absolutely needs 19s to look decent or it looks like its riding on Civic wheels and tires.
