What thel hell is up with BMW owners?

driving back to Maryland after weekend at home, I'm driving along 83 with traffic to my front, right, and back (nissan max. behind me)...we're all going 75-80mph. i notice that there's a bmw behind the max (right on his ass) trying to get around everyone...so the guy plays with his brakes a little as he ends up like 1/4 mile behind all of us.

a few miles down the road, he's now behind me and the max is behind him. he's doing the same to me (flashing lights, right on my ass, wanting to get around even though there is traffic to my right and front).

so being a nice guy, i slam on my brakes 'til 55mph. he's still behind me, then gets behind this lady in a benz to my right, passes her on the shoulder, pulls in front of me and comes to a complete stop!
(thank God we have good brakes)...and he's waving to provoke me even more for about a mile (the maxima almost reared me 'cuz of him). so i had enough and let him take off.

it was a 318ti! geez...the current 3 series is the lowest of the bimmers, but a 318ti?!!? that's like the lwoest of the low!

he was pissing eveyrone off, so later on down the road this f150 forces him into the median shoulder (i was behind him and the truck was on his right, merging to the left).

it was funny.

Maybe they were not from PA and were trying to get out of the state....I often drive that way when I am stuck in PA...

Its not worth the trouble of not letting those guys go by. Some people get up each day looking for trouble - not me. Then again, maybe they had a real emergency...or had to pee.

Hey now, hey now let't not start on PA folks...i'm from PA originally and most of my family still lives there. I will admit there's a few areas that remind me of "Deliverance" and the banjo kid, but most states have them kinda areas.

Besides the Amish make some kick ass furniture and quilts, and the back roads are twisty and hilly and a lot of fun to drive on.

As for BMW 318ti's, there are a lot of punk kids in PA that couldn't afford real BMW's or anything better than a '87 Camaro Berlinta's, so when BMW made the 318's they went ape shit and bought'em like candy.

And i don't mean to throw stones here, and i admit PA drivers are pretty bad, but nothing compares to DC/VA drivers. And i've lived and driven in several states in my time and can atest to that.

Safe driving all and watch out for the other guy.

OK, you've got an A-Hole behind you, and you think he's going to take a hint if you hit your brakes that he's too close? come on, you're a CL driver, you should know all you're going to do is make the other guy act even stupider? I mean, I can't afford to get my Type-S banged up and certinly can't afford to get my personal body banged up. Also, some of those fools carry guns!

Hey mrdeeno................asinine driving isn't just for BMWeenies anymore. I saw a bad road rage outburst Saturday driving on the 2 lane 440 freeway loop around Nashville. Bitch in a Saturn is on everyone's ass--eventually mine. Rather than provoke her with braking, I just let off the throttle and slowed down until she went elsewhere (left lane) behind a new Maxima. She stayed on him so bad he hit the brakes--she swirved to the right lane and when that wasn't fast enough she went right back to the Maxima's lane forcing the driver into the center median, which is part grass & part paved!! Neither would give. They went like that side by side for 3/4 mile (at 70mph!!) until she swerved back into the right lane and took off, swerving back into the left lane, cutting off the truck in front of the Maxima. I last saw her with a very pissed off Maxima driver after her to do God only knows what. What a freakin' idiot. No wonder I love to watch "Cops" and "Amazing Police Videos"..........usually these morons never get caught except on TV.

He could have had one of the "Wildlife Reserve Plates". I had one when i still lived there and it had alot of green on it. And my Dad has a Pittsburgh Zoo one, which is mostly green grass with a tiger peering out. Just a thought.

I can't believe what this forum has done to me. I never used to give a crap about bmw drivers or ricers. Now everytime I see a ricer I almost foam at the mouth. Thanks guys.

Hey !!!!!

Who’s bashing on PA drivers???

The driver of that Bimmer sure sounded like he had a problem, but I don’t think pulling in front of him and hanging on the hooks was the correct way to deal with it.

Shawn S

(I just went back and re-read that and it sounded like Kensteele wrote it)
I apologize
