What is the spec for the incoming lancer evolution VII??
i have read 2 car magazine ..and they stated that lancer evolution is coming into usa in about late 2002 or early 2003..but some magazine reveals that it has 250 HP and some reveal it has 270 HP???so anyone knows the exact spec for the incoming usa model lancer evolutino VII? HP and torque??and what is the interior look like???what brand of sports seats??recaro??? what brand of steering wheel and what size of the rims and tires???is it a twin turbo or single turbo..i know the price will be around $30,000 USD...thanks and does someone has the interior photos or exterior photos of the usa model lancer evolution VII?? thanks
well not sure about the specs... but I know some guys have gotten EVO7s from UK for about 30K-36.5K (depending on how much of a deal tehy got) from a placei n Cali or something called Evolution Imports I believe... so freakin' nice... if I really wanted to have a little rally car that would be the one... so much better looking than the WRX I think..
The Evo has been an I4 which is a similar engine to what powered the 1st and 2nd Gen Eclipse (and the other DSM counterparts). Te Evo has recieved 'special treatment' but it is still and I4 Although it is possible, there is no reason to put more than one turbo on a four cylinder vehicle.
That 4G63T (I believe that is the denomination??) engine is very capable and can ceratinly provide 250 - 270 HP, if not more. Final specifications are not out at this time.

If some of you think Acura dealers are the worst, just step on over to Mr. Mitsubishi's stores. My wife wanted an Eclipse GSX in '95. We found one, drove it and bought it. The dealer (Dan Georger) said I only sell Mitsu's so you'll never have a problem getting it serviced. Yeah right. First time in the car's alarm wld go off by itself for no reason; needed oil change; and, trim piece was loose. After 3.5 hours of waiting, I went to the service mgr to see WTF was up. He walked me into garage where his mechanic said to me "Do YOU know if this piece is glued on or screwed on?" I said, put it together I'm never coming back and I didn't. I've heard similar stories from friends who didn't listen and bought Mitsu's from other dealers. So go ahead, if you dare!!

Type S, my dealer is the BEST but I've heard some people bitching about how much they hate acura dealers. To those ppl, I say you are on your own w/ Mitsu dealers, every one I've dealt with has their head up their ass.
Type S,
I'm not certain that the exact spec on the evo VII is known yet. Specifics have been vague, but it is supposed to have a turbo 2.0L 4-cyl putting out over 250 HP, AWD, with the price being around 30k like you said.
They are planning a January launch, right? So I'm guessing they are going to start releasing more information soon since that's only a few months away.

I'm posting a link to the UK Evo VII spec for your viewing enjoyment. I'd expect differences in overall HP and other features, but I'm guessing most of the stuff there will probably be in the US version.
