What is a great year end price for TL-S. Need Help ASAP!

I'm looking to get a 2003 Acura TL Type S in the next few days.

What is a great year-end price for this car. No Navigation.

I went to a few dealers and they offered ~$28.5 without too much bargaining. I'm wondering what deals others have gotten recently.

In case it makes a difference, I live in Bay Area (Mountain View, CA)

Thanks in advance. I really appreciate any help.

Just saw that Acura is offering a $399/36mo lease on the TL-S until the end of the year.

Seems like they are more than willing to deal.

That's a fair price for Florida.

Thanks for the quick advice everybody.

When people are saying that I can probably get it at invoice ($28,550 according to kbb and edmunds) does that include the $500 destination charge?

Would it be
Option1) $28,550(invoice) + tax + license OR
Option2) $28,550(invoice) + tax + license + $500 dest charge

Thanks again,

Edmunds.com lists it as invoice + destination charges, so it looks like option #2.

Wait a minute. Let's think logically. Why would anyone sell you anything at invoice? Everyone is in business to make money.

the dealer usually gets some money from the manufactuer for the sale known as a "kick-back". this is usually a small percentage of the price of the the vehicle.

it is in the best interest to get rid of some vehicles if they have been sitting for a while because the dealership is paying the bank interest while the car is sitting on the lot.

the dealerships are making money, somedays more than others, but it keeps the business afloat.

Like DRM600 said, there is the dealer "hold-back" (3% of MSRP for Acura). This is something that we're not surposed to know about

There are other "dealer" incentives that we don't know about. I think that Mercedes was giving the Merc. Dealers $1000 dollars xtra for every C230 they sold. Other Merc. models were higher.

The more the dealer sells, the better deals they get from the factory.

It's all about volume... they more thry sell, the better they do...

Hey, I am new here. My satin silver CL-S turns one month old tomorrow (12/28, and I really like the car). I have bought 6 acuras not only from the same dealer, but from the same salesman. 3 gsrs, 1 type r, one rsx-s and one cl-s. All I can tell you is I traded the 2002 RSX-S (with a desireable color, arctic blue), with 18,600 on the odo. The car was in pristine condition. The difference in bottom line window sticker of the 02 rsx (23,650) to the 03 CL was $7,400. The RSX was 363 days old. I added $3,000 for depreciation, for a "no profit" price (that ain't gonna happen) of $10,400. Offered dealer my car and $10,000. No dice. $11,500 they said. I bought the car at $10,750, after I got them to throw in locks for the wheels and some other minor stuff. Hope this helps. I endorse the car. Being a newbie here, does anyone have a significant gripe about this car? My left, front fender does not allign properly with the door, and I have seen this on many other CL models. Look close at your alignment. Do you have this defect (which I choose not to correct, I will trade this car every 365 days), being single, with no kids, so, I have some "mad money", that usually goes to my losing picks in the stock market. Dave.

If you're willing to travel to Sacramento, Niello Acura has offered me 27,800. This is about rock bottom for California. I instead bought a Accord EX V6 sedan for 23,888. It's almost as good, 4000 cheaper, and brand new, while the TLS is due for replacement next year. Something to think about. Honda of Oakland will do the 23,888, I got mine at Carmichael Honda.
