Go back to the G35 board, nobody here wants to put up with you anymore. What's your point of being here? You don't own the TL, you think its inferior.... is it your mission in life to beat your views into other people's heads? You think people weren't going to defend the TL or was that your point, to fuel more arguments? What does it matter now- you prefer the G, we prefer the TL... move on (preferably to a different site)!

I like our TL ALOT... BUT not as much as my G35C OK..I think i'am the best judge of comparing since I own both cars..WTF is it with you guys, can't take any criticism about the TL. This is what is TRUE ; TL is inferior because of the FWD and weight distribution. the G is inferior because of bland interior and lack of luxury feel.. SO what is important to you!!! For mY wife it's the relaxing /luxury interior to ME it's driving HARD and FAST! AND i hate hearing all that crap about FWD and driving to the limits BS..LET me tell you you CAN tell a difference between FWD and RWD even when not drving to the LIMIT... PERIOD!!! SO what's important to you ??

 

AH stop fighting. :argue: None of us can really test the abilities of these cars on North American roads. I used to live in England where the back roads are REALLY twisty. I think both the TL and G35 can handle the roads of England just fine. For a car as big as the TL, it handles very good.

 

No mods really except clears and z tube and K&N drop in. Thats it at this current time.

 

Ugggg, seems to me you think every other car is inferior to the TL. We have been here for several years, and there is NO reason for us to leave. We are just correcting misinformation like usual. Move on and stop making posts on the G35. Then we wouldn't have this.

 

Niko 14- Sorry, didn't realize you owned a TL, though your way of pointing that out to me ("WAKE UP YOU FOOL") probably isn't the most tactful way of making yourself heard, though that obviously doesn't seem to be of your concern...

SilverbulletCLS- I don't know what gives you the impression I think every other care in inferior to the TL, I never said that. Why would you even make a statement like that?????
As a matter of fact, I don't even remember saying that the G35 was inferior. And as for your advice (stop making posts on the G35. Then we wouldn't have this), I dont make posts on the G35, so again, I don't understand where you are coming from. Why you want to hang around here and correct "misinformation like usual" is beyond me.

According to your logic then we cannot make ANY comments regarding our subjective OPINIONS about the G35? I can't say that I THINK that the G35's exterior is already dated- doesn't it look a bit like a low top sneaker? I can't say that the interior is sub par? I can't say that the G35 suffers from similar QC problems that the TL does? I can't say that the stereo is sadly lacking?

Why? The Bimmer has no interior features, quality or reliability to compare with all the goodies the TL comes with. The Bimmer does have performance, that's if you can stay out of the repair garage long enough to enjoy the car.

How many trannies have u gone through? The TL ain't much better built than a 3 bub.

 

LOL!....We;ve bought this car new and I've gone through 0 trannies..... ...thats why I love this car soo much......I'm about to take a road trip from here to DC in the middle of summer with all the confidence in the world.

 

Yupe the 99 and 2000 Tl had a different tranny design and very few failures..
Now 2001-2003 on Gen 2 escpecially the type S that's one POS tranny.I still get pissed just thinking about it..Anway that was one of the reasons i leased my current 04 tl

 

Actually the 3 owns the TL especially the last gen in interior features, and quality. You can tell the difference just by closing the door.

As far as reliability goes. On my 02 TL-S, I went through one tranny, cd changer, drivers side heating element, bubbling door moldings, and perpetually cracking wheel well liners. Acura's reliability isnt what it used to be unfortunately.
