What G35 drivers are saying about the TL

Having been told of its existence by Silverbullet, I decided to check out some of the posts from the (according to Silverbullet) more mature G35 site. LOL, the poster who started the thread has them foaming at the mouth!

hahahaha i think its funny how there seems to be a rivalry between the G35 and TL's. lets just face it they are very similar performance vehicles. i guess txcarguy is their equivalent of our Silverbullet.

That poster is obviously flame baiting. Everyone know that the G35 owns the TL in every way shape and form. it's really a non issue

You know ... if it weren't for the cheap-@ss interior, I'd be all over a G35C 6mt. But ... I'll wait for the 'real' Skyline instead ...

what's with the immature "my car can beat your car" attitude? obviously both cars were not bought for drag racing...so who cares? those guys give off a bad image to all g35 owners.

There is always going to be a rivalry between competitive cars. when I was active on the Taurus SHO list, we would argue back and forth with the people on the Pontiac Grand Prix list.

It's funny how people on message boards will take things to extremes. The trolls get their jollies on setting people off. the defenders get all worked up. But when your mind is set, no amount of disscussion is going to change it. The bottom line is be happy with what you bought.

Who gives a flying f#ck..When it comes down to it, both cars are very similar, but you wanna know the truth? The G35 is a hell of a lot cheaper to lease, and it'll probably be my next car(AWD). Not unless Honda lowers their rates will I consider the TL, as much as I love it..

design wise...

the G35 (sedan), didn't like it at first... then it "grew on me," now? I don't like it again... but the G35 Coupe's a whole different story... Get's my attention everytime. I always have a tendency to see if it's got "Brembo's."

I don't particularly care whether a G35 owner likes my TL or not. I was set on a G until the TL came out....the interior is worlds better in the TL and it was much easier to find a comfortable driving position as well. The G is still a fine machine......it just wasn't the machine for me. If those guys like it.....more power to them....I hope they enjoy the ride. And now, that's exactly what I'm going to do....go out and enjoy my TL ride!!

Have a great night!

Kinda reminds you of elementary school, doesn't it?? "My dad can beat up your dad!!" So pathetic.
Nearly all the cars mentioned in the posts (i.e., G, 325/330, Max, S60R, etc.) have their definite strong points and weak points. Some strong points just appeal to certain people more than others. I still like the G a lot...it's one fine car....and I'd be driving one today if not for the TL. I'd also be interested in seeing now many other TL-cultists had, at one time, seriously looked at the G before making a final decision.

wow that's really stupid.. if they bought a G35 and are happy with it, great. dont flame people who have a different car..

IMO, the TL is better than the G35 (test drove both).. but i dont go crazy about it and flame every G35 owner.. that's just stupid.

those G35 owners need to grow up a bit.

:lol1: You are right, but have you looked at some of the threads in the 3rd gen forum. Some of the 04 Tl'ers could act their age instead of their shoe size and we would all be better off.

Same goes for you guys since this forum was full of those type of posts here. Someone is just starting to cause a problem from here over there.

Actualy since a TL owner stareted it over there, I think the TL owners need to grow up.

When I've paid a little more debt down, I plan on considering a G35 coupe, 6MT, as a weekend fun driving car....

Don't get me wrong..both the TL and G35 Sedan and Coupe have their strengths and weaknesses. Both are great cars (being that I've personally driven both of them) and find it fucking useless to argue over which is better. And SilverBullet.. "Actualy since a TL owner stareted it over there, I think the TL owners need to grow up." ..this shows how mature you REALLY are.

Ummm what was wrong with what I said buddy? A TL owner did start that post, just to cause a flame war. That is really grown up.

Yea I am mature, I don't act like the children do on this site.

Interesting that someone using this language is telling others to grow up.

35C is nice I looked and it did'nt fit me well, my head rubs the head liner. Prices seem a little soft, the guy was talking serious discount. May be the time to buy. The sedan is just ugly in the front IMO.

LOL..so you're saying that you have never used profanity before? Sometimes, profanity is needed..

Edit* This is a public forum..profanity is used by everyone..everywhere. So you going to give a lecture everytime someone uses profanity is a post? Bahahah..get a fucking life...go enjoy your G35.

Let's just face facts. The Infiniti G35 is a great car. The Acura TL is a great car. I personally drove both of them. I drove the G35 coupe and the TL. After everything was said and done, I thought the TL was a better fit FOR ME. There isn't a definate answer for everybody. The g35 (sedan or coupe) might be a better car for some people. The TL might be a better car for some people. It all comes down to what you are looking for. I really wanted a rwd/awd car, but when it came down to it I thought the TL was perfect for me, despite being fwd. I knew the VQ35 was a good engine, I had one in my 02 maxima and I wished it was rwd many times as the car was pretty much out of control w/ torque steer. I must admit, compared to that car the TL has pretty much no torque steer. That engine is a little much on the low end for a fwd car.

Either way, you just have to look at your own personal values and which car you think is better. Again, for some the TL is better, for some the g35 is better. No need to argue with "my car can beat up your car". Some things the TL does better, some things the g35 does better. I am a TL owner and I have no problem admitting that the g35 has some advantages the tl doesn't. And I'm sure any realistic g35 owner can admit the TL has some advantages the g35 doesn't. Let's just all be realistic. No car is perfect...if it was we'd all be driving the "brand x < $35,000 super sport sedan" and would be laughing at all those poor TL and g35 owners that didn't have our amazing vehicle.

And one final point, competition is good. I'm sure we're going to see a TL w/ more hp and awd because of the competition. I'm sure we will probably see some changes to the g35 because of the competition also. Think about how much things have changed over the past 4 or 5 years. At the rate we're going the 2008 TL will be AWD with a 350hp v6.

That is all. Just needed to get that all out I think

Question

Did anyone today see someone posting his G35 beat TL auto in 3rd Gen. TL forum?

I couldn't find it now. Is it possible BOSS starting to delete those threads from now on?

Exactly......we bought the TL because it "fit" us better, same as the G owners did (and the S60R owners, and 325/330 owners, etc. ,etc., ad infinitum). Just get off the computer and go drive!!!

it's all a matter of opinion...who cars who's faster by how much..unless your racing it...it doesn't matter if your .5 seconds faster then the other car.
