What exactly does this mean?

hey guys

here is my little set of questions:

what does it mean when they say you need to get rustproofed? im guessin it means pay someone to do something under neath the car so it it wont rust metal and eventually crack...

What is this substance called that they do it with?
Where exactly do they "rust proof"?
Does rust proofing provide a smoother ride?
is it good for the springs?
how much is it supposed to cost?
how often should be done?

Thank you guys I love Azine
