A beautiful design, very capable engine, a hella fun to drive, but yeah it does look like a VW beetle that an elephant sat on.

You guys beat me to the bug comment. I have to agree - it looks like a VW that was sat on...and who would want a VW?

I like it because it's not a Bimmer 3 series.

Actually, it's a great design and a head turner.

I liked it on a test drive, but when I turned my head to look out the side, I was staring at the roof liner, which comes WAY down the side of the car. This made it too claustrophobic for me. It was a hoot to drive, and the interior is really hot. That was the coupe. I don't know how the convertible is.

I like the design a lot. Yes, it does look like a squashed bug but I think it looks cool, agressive, stylish and just "strange" enough to be different but not over the edge.

I am not impressed with the specs for the price but I have never driven one to know if it is fun to drive.

Most fun car I have EVER driven! Had a one hour test drive in one, in the mountains above Pasadena California before I purchased my CL-S. IF I did not usually keep a car 10-12 years the TT would be in my garage now. The practical side of my brain won the argument by making me realize that after the warranty was gone, I would probably regret buying the TT. Sure is a fun car if you can afford the upkeep.

This thread is great because of the fact that the Audi TT is my dream car, I love that car and it is what I strive to own (maybe when I'm not 19 and only have like $900 but still). I've wanted it since I first saw it a couple years ago. I think it's cool looking

The TT IS just a glorified Beetle (or Golf) but the convertible looks sharp & I like the interior styling.

to cnatra:

You have not driven one if you think it is just a Beetle. The CL-S is also just an Accord!

Your right!!

Hey, nothing wrong with the right Jetta or Golf.
(same platform!)
I dont care for Beetles much & I said the TT looks
cool but the suspension & powertrain is not that
impressive for the money.
A turbo 4 & McPherson struts!

I'd rather have a 350Z, G35 coupe or even a Z3 with an I6.

p.s. I like your sig

My wife's got the 180 hp coupe with Quattro and that car is a blast to drive. Handles like a dream and is a definite attention getter. We put Blizzaks on for the winter and it had no problems with the snow. It's a great second or weekend car. I could not see driving it every day, but she never complains.

I just sat in one last night for the first time and felt very cramped, no way i would want to drive it every day. It does look great though.
