What does everybody think of the CHEVY IMPALA?

It's big inside and I really like that. I have a wife and kid and it drives like a boat. Does anybody have opinions on this, they are going really cheap it's just I've never bought anything that wasn't Honda/Acura/Toyota.. Thanks!

If you could handle a pulsar, you could probably handle an Impala quality-wise.

Not bad for a large econobox. Get one with a 3800 V6 and you'll be good to go. Torquey, pretty free-revving V6 that wears like the iron its made of. Another chevy 350.

See ya in October.

I imagine their low price is somewhat offset by low resale value?

Probably a pretty excellent choice for that. The LS with the 3800 is probably reasonably nice for the 23-24 you have to cough for it.

I'm very strongly against anyone buying cars that are used by police in their unmarked fleets.

If no one bought them, we'd all be wise to those sneaky coppers.

Actually, buying a new one is OK I guess, but the dudes who go to police auctions and buy old unmarked cars should be shot. How many times have I spotted these babies only to soon realize that it's just a former cop car.

Definately get the 3800 V6.. I've never had problems with that engine on all my previous cars.. I'd personally get the Impala SS... But if you're looking for something that'll get you around, the LS would suit you quite well

If your gonna get an American Big car, you GOT to get the new 300C. The Impala has nothing on it. Sorry.
The old Impalas like in that pick are the SHIT! Besides, a FWD, V-6 Impala is really a Lumina.

CRAP, CRAP, CRAP. As cheap and American as a large family sedan can come. Boring exterior, even more boring interior (that makes the Camry's look like a 10), and that oh so awesome "American" dependability. The '04 Accord and now the '05 Altima are the best choices in this class.
