What do you regret doing to your car?
It can be a mod, a upgrade, a downgrade, selling it, whatever...
What do I regret doing? Buying a Y-Pipe with hollowed cats. It sounds great, and performs great but when the emission test rolls around, its a bitch to pass. (Mind you the seller did not tell me the cats were hollowed)
So, What do you regret?

probably when I had my CRX si with the B18C5 and tons of other mods: The thing I regretted most about it is it wasn't street legal or street registared. it was a track only car. it got a lot of attention. the paint kind of "set it off. " it started yellow and faded to red. it was pretty bad ass. then I a custom CIVIC TYPE R in a slant on the door/ rear fender.
probably mechanically: I wish Teins made electonically adjustable coilovers for the CRX when I had it. because always at autocross events. you'd have different parking lots and some would be smooth and little or no bumps so you'd "crank it down." and there was one they have a picture was i was good 12 inches off the ground. but I hated the old special wrench and twisting. i really hated it in like july or august when it's hotter than hell and your hand not to far from the motor and the tire hot.
the next project car if Tein offers electonically adjustable coilovers then for sure will have it.
do I regret selling it : yes and no. I'm glad i sold it because every season I'd have my machine shop tear down the motor, rebuild it and check it over. also at the end my transmission was getting ready to take a dump, i went through a clutch about a clutch about once a season. so it was expensive. but i do miss it. it was a unique and cool ride.

I already regretting buying the 22'' Zenetti/JDM lowering springs package I bought for my car, even though I'm not getting it until next week. I could already tell the ride is going to be shit, the tires are going to be as strong as rubberbands, and I'm going to rub. Oh well, I could always use ebay to sell them off.

I went with my eye on this one. I was going to do 20's but I couldn't justify $2500 for one inch (I have stock 19's and I was looking at Maya, GFG, TIS, Zenetti, Dropstars, and other expensive brands). I don't know how they're going to look but I got a full-faced chrome wheel. I just feel like you can't do a five or six-spoke wheel on that car, you need a full face. We'll see - I get the feeling that it'll look really good with the drop (Espelir JDM springs - 1.6 front, 1.0 back) and the aero kit. The wheels are 22x8.5 and my stock wheels are 19x8.5 so there isn't a width difference. I'll be running 245/30/22 all-around in New York City though, which is equal to suicide. The wheels are probably going to look monstrous on the car, but I figure that the car has a big body so it'll fit well. I've seen 22'' colormatched Asantis on one of the M boards and it looks ridiculously good, so I'm confident the car will look good too. I'll have pictures next week - the springs are coming via mail late next week and I'm picking the wheels up next week.Alright, sorry for jacking the thread.
I regret getting rid of my '97 Camaro Z28 after 3 years. Bought it brand new, literally off the showroom floor, loaded. That car was like my own personal amusement park ride, especially after the K&N FIPK and Borla exhaust were added. What did I follow up with? My next biggest regret: a 2000 Nissan 155hp Altima! Worst car-buying decision I ever made.
E v e r. That taught me, as a car enthusiast, to never make a "practical" car-buying decision. From then on, I decided to only buy cars I actually WANTED, not what I needed. So, I followed up the Altima with my 2000 TL! Next stop, 07 G35!

Trading in the '91 Accord EX my dad gave me after graduation for the '02 TL-S. I love my current car but that Accord could have run another 10 years (no surface body rust on it, not even 'Honda rust' ... for a 10 yr old daily driver in Ontario ... almost unheard of!) Plus it was original paint ... I took care of her so much ... :sigh:
Also, with the money I would have saved by waiting to buy a car... could have bought a '04 GS300 new and modded that one out. But hindsight is 20/20.

I forgot about that...I regret not putting the engine that I bought nearly 4 years ago into my 79 VW bus...
It's amazing how long some people can procrastinate

I know, but at the time I was thinking about selling the car and wanted to keep the heads for a different project on another mustang I was going to buy. I would up rebuilding the motor and leaving the cast iron heads on there. I then thought about selling the heads to get some cash for a suspension kit, so I sold them. Motor was on its last legs even after the rebuild so I have to pull it and I'm now going to drop in a crate motor. I wish I still had the heads around though, as now I have to hunt for a decent priced crate with aluminum heads.

I just checked online for you at Jeg's.
a set of Dart heads(which is pretty darn good),for a Small block ford I don't know the size of intake ports or combustion chambers you want. but if you want aluminum darts with 275 cc Intake ports and 62 cc combustion ports and .690 maximum lift. without shipping you're talking 2600 bucks for the set.

(motor, transmission, rear end, racing seats, rims, etc)I'd be more than willing to show you around and help you wrench on it. just give me word on it man.
the thing i most regret doing to my civic when I was 17-18, was having the interior painted by a 'friend' who 'knew' how to do interiors. paid her 100 dollars to fubar my car, 800 to have it fixed, and a never ending headache/screwed up interior from the company who 'fixed' the interior
I guess this post should get it started. Read on through the carnage if you'd like.
I wouldn't call it regret, but maybe the idea of hitting the cat, grilling it, and making kabobs comes to mind.
