What do they see?

I gotta rant. I think the 3G TL wheels are fugly as hell, so I don't understand why so many people put them on different cars other than the 3G. The wheels only fit the 3G correctly, I haven't seen a set on another car that actually looks like it belongs.

This looks ridiculous

That's the refreshed Accord, the wheels come standard I believe. Yes, it's from the TL.

Nope. The refreshed EX V6 Accord uses the 2nd gen TL-S wheels. The rest use different wheels that are comletely different from any Acura wheel.

I happen to think the 3rd gen TL wheels are ugly as well, and I feel the same way as Ray does. I personally think the wheels kind of look cheap.

I just said it looked ok (IMO),...........not that I would ever get them (I drive a TSX) and of course there are WAY BETTER wheel options for the TSX.

There's a 2G TL with those rims near my house and I thought it looked horrible. The accord on the other hand doesn't look that bad.

Nothing personal Platano, but I'm sure some people think the wheels you have are ugly. I think a big reason people put other OEM wheels on their car is because:

1 - they're easily available
2 - they're typically cheap

Plus they keep the OEM look, weigh about the same as most other OEM wheels, and, in the case of the TSX, allow me to fit a much wider performance tire for 3-season use. And besides, I think they work pretty well on the 06.

True..Just an opinion but as you know it is difficult to get the 3G Tl to fit on other cars without it sticking out. But I know you like my wheels since you have to same ones but 3 pc

Don't they stick out on the 7th gen Accords? They look weird on the 6th gen. The 2nd gen TL-S looks great on my 6th gen.

I think 2nd gen TL-S > CL-S > 7th gen 6spd (before refresh) > 3rd gen TL. Silverstars go at the top depending on the car color.

I personally cannot stand to see a car where the wheels are sticking out the wheel well.

If you look, Stealth posted pics of his car so you could see down the side of it. From the pic, they didn't stick out at all. I've noticed is some pics they do look like they stick out though. It's weird. I'd like to see it in person.

Yeah Stealth's wheels look like the fit perfect, but from what I know about the width and offset, 17x8 +45, they are sure to stick out more than the stock wheels.

Well, considering that the stock wheels on most Acuras tend to be tucked a fair amount into the wheel well, the wheel width and offset actually make it line up well with the fender line. It's the same on my TSX.

Hummm, for some reason I was thinking they were a 40 offset which is what made it worse.

I'm not into rims but if I was, I would definitely think the stock 3G rims are fugly. But since I'm not, I think it looks just fine. Least it's alloy wheels

I only like machine-finished wheels. Powdercoated rims never look clean and dubs are too blingy.

So TL-S FTW (If one was ever made in 18x7... )

i think the oem tl-s wheels are one of the nicest oem wheels honda/acura has ever made....the rsx 17's are nice too...as are the 04-05 oem tsx and 7th gen av6 optional wheels...the 3rd gen tl wheels look ok on the 3rd gen...but like th OP, i dont like them on any car except the 3rd gen. There is one car that is an exception to that, which is TPatel's car. For some reason, it looks real nice on those wheels, and clean. I will search for some pics.

RH 1pc no rivets Racing Hart 3pc w/ rivets..I didnt like the rivets so I bought the 1 pc..I suck I bought Taiwanese and not Japanese shoot me then.

I happen to like the 3G TL wheels, as you can see. They do not stick out on the 7G Accord, they sit flush. The finish was the same as the stock 16s on the Accord V6. But anyway, I am obviously biased, so do they still look as awful? You will have to excuse some of the pics as the car was not clean.

Yeah I think they look great? Even on the first pic you posted of the acccord coupe..minus some wheel gap. Guess i don't understand why you'd get upset about something like this either way.
