Four Door Luxury Touring Sedan with class and performance:
BMW M5
BMW 545
Audi A6
Acura TL (only if increased HP and AWD)
Lexus Gs430 (depedent upon gas usage...)
Lexus IS 430 (if it ever hits the market, but I'm more interested in a larger sedan)

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?
More power, luxury, speed.
Definatly want to get into a higher luxury brand, the acura being a 'near luxury' brand has it's short comings, although a 'value'.

I just bought a new car late last year...

1 What auto(s) are you considering to be your next vehicle?(Make/Model)
Honda Accord LX

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?
Real estate career requires 4 doors. Fuel economy is wonderful, Honda reliability. I'm not going to spend more than $20k when people will be bringing their snot-nosed kids & candy bars, happy meals, etc. in my car.

Well I'm really not considering a new car since I've only had the TSX for 7 months. If I was, I'd keep the TSX as the great commuter car it is, and buy a second car.
I really like the new SLK 350. I would probably lease and not buy it (the TSX is not a lease).
Of course that's probably not happening because I'd rather invest the money on other things.

I'm hoping a new Acura coupe comes out and not the RSX. I won't be shopping for a car for another 4 years or so. However, if I had to choose now, G35 coupe.

1 What auto(s) are you considering to be your next vehicle?(Make/Model)
Infiniti G35 coupe

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?
Luxury, sports coupe, reliability, price range

3 What are you driving now? (Make/Model)
2002 Acura CL-S

1 What auto(s) are you considering to be your next vehicle?(Make/Model)
Considering what's out right now...
- Chevy Corvette C6 (me)
- Honda Odyssey (wife)

I reserve the right to amend or append this list given what new vehicles come out in the next year...

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?
- C6 cuz I fucking love speed and power, and lets be real here, who would not want a vette... + I have all my life said that I would one day own a corvette... SO THERE...!!! hehe

3 What are you driving now? (Make/Model)
Acura TL 2004 (blk/blk 6mt)
See signature for the rest...

1 What auto(s) are you considering to be your next vehicle?(Make/Model)

Acura TL (agreed, has to have more HP and AWD)
Pontiac GTO
Mitsu Evo

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?

I just bought the TSX, GF just bought Scion tC. Masterplan is getting something sporty-er later when married, give wife TSX and trade Scion for next car.

3 What are you driving now? (Make/Model)

Acural TSX

Side note:
Me and another car enthusiast at work have a list of cars we're test driving here and there on our lunch breaks(in Tampa it's no more then a 10 minute drive to ANY car dealer brand you can think of). We recently drove

2002 M5
2005 RL
2004 GTO
200? Lotus Elise
2004 G35
2004 (or 5) Volvo S60R

and probably a few I'm forgetting, and the list has a bunch more cars on it...

At the moment, I'm most impressed with the GTO, the only thing I wasn't crazy about was the distance you had to push the clutch.

and PS... Do NOT buy Subaru, the people that are looking at WRXs and STis, I've been down that road...those cars are junk...

Don't mean to shit on the thread and all the similar ones I've seen, but I think I'd feel used/eRaped if I supplied my opinion here. Not sure why, maybe because it's done in an organized fashion & reminds me of my high school days spent taking surveys for cash Do you just do this for fun or are you into market research?

My next car might be a summer only weekend driver (older Porsche 911 or C5 Vette), and I'll keep my CLS 6spd for awhile to use as a winter beater (I bought my last car in 1995, the CL replaced it in 2002).

If Acura comes out with a kick ass coupe soon, I might be tempted to buy that, but only if it is made in Japan. I'm happy with the CL, so it will take a lot for me to upgrade.

A used 05 RL a few years from now might be another option... The only cars that really interest me other then the ones I've mentioned already are the 350Z, 05 'Stang, and BMW's 330.

1 What auto(s) are you considering to be your next vehicle?(Make/Model)

honda acura family
prolly won't get anything new for a bit. New car is nice but so is having 500/month to save I'll prolly keep this car until it runs into the ground.
wife will want something new when she's done grad school. She deserves it and will be making good coin. If i buy anything it'd be a project car. GSR or a CIVIC etc.,. modding daily driver is too expensive. Cars to consider:

Accord v6 hybrid
TL
TSX
RDX
s2000

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?
they make great cars. best bang for the buck. environmentally friendly. German cars are overpriced.

3 What are you driving now? (Make/Model)

03 Acura CLS 6MT.

1 What auto(s) are you considering to be your next vehicle?(Make/Model)
-2007 Corvette C6
-2007 M3
-2007 C55

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?
- I had to sell my C32 last month since I went back to school to do my masters and thus ended up getting a Z71 Tahoe. I love the car to death and will probably keep it on the side if I get a job up north. Lets just say I miss my C a little too much.
But for the 3 I have listed, I don't think I could go wrong with any of them. If the new C class looks as good as the pre-design models look and the C55 does in fact go with the 408hp bump, you can kiss the other 2 goodbye.

1 What auto(s) are you considering to be your next vehicle?(Make/Model)
-Acura TL A-Spec
-Pontiac GTO
-Volvo S60R
-Infiniti M45
-Audi S4

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?
- My car goes back in May 2006 so I know a lot of models will probably change in due time, but here are the cars I am already considering. I would definitely want a car with a little more speed than my current ride (although the TL-S is indeed great) and I want to keep the four-door sedan look. I love Acuras and I would definitely consider getting an A-Spec and doing a lot of work to it. I also need a car with AWD or FWD because of New York weather, so that will probably eliminate the GTO and M45 in due time.

Do you just do this for fun or are you into market research? YES and YES

Do you just do this for fun?
Yes, learning about others that share simliar interests to me is fun to me. In a way, it helps me to learn about myself, and often other people's interests that have simularirites to me, will make recomendations about things that I find that I love! (birds of a feather flock together)

are you into market research?
Yes, I'm a web marketing manager at a large global tech company, i do user research all the time, so it's part of my career, I don't work for an auto company, or use any of this info to make money, and you dont have to answer it if you dont want to. In fact, im flattered that it reminds you of proffesinoally done surveys you've had experience with, which means that I'm doing an ok job. (oh and i have a marketing degree too)

My day job requires me to find out a lot of information about my target audience, and to build them a site that will meet their needs.

And you didn't shit on this thread, you have some very valid questions and points, thanks for sharing

(by the way, does anyone know anything about UX or IA?)

Does anyone think the responses here are interesting? I noticed a trend, It seems like Acura is a transition brand, not a destination brand...

Is this obsercation accurate? (not a pun)

I'll answer on behalf of my dad..

1 What auto(s) are you considering to be your next vehicle?(Make/Model)
-Acura TL, and a 10-20% chance of an Acura RL or Lexus GS300

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?
-TL; Loves the sleek, sporty look, PLENTY of luxury and technology for the money, peppy engine with good gas economy. My dad thinks a prestigous everyday car (he drives his cars everyday, all weather conditions) in Chicago is dumb when you don't have a garage, and that discourages him from paying more for an RL or GS. If he were in Cali or Florida, it'd be much different.

3 What are you driving now? (Make/Model)
-2004 Acura TSX

I'll be real here since i'm only 18 ...
Mazda RX-7 FC
Acura Integra LS or GSR

Down the road it's one of these ...
G35C
TL
CL-S 6Speed

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?

FC and LS are fairly cheap cars and pretty reliable, even though they're so old. I lean toward the LS since the FC is considered a sport car = insurance rape.

PDG '01 Acura 3.2CL Type-S with SOME parental financial help. It feels like such a shame to drive something that's not all yours.

I never thought of it that way, but I guess it could be accurate. With the exception of those people that look at Acura for the RL and maybe the TL. In the past, with the Legends it may have been different since they were almost on a different class.
I think people that have an RSX, CL or TSX will likely move to another brand after their car. It's hard to go back down after having an Acura so chances are it'll be either Infiniti, Lexus, or german.
Then you have the exceptions like me who went from a CL-S to a TSX instead of a 330 or G35 which would be the logical progression for me. FWIW, I wanted a 330Ci after my CL got wrecked. Only thing that stopped me was the fact I was buying a house and wanted to spend the money on that instead.

Well, I haven't had the TL very long so I'll continue to enjoy it for as long as I can. It might be nice to take a look at the BMW M3, 645ci, Infiniti G35x or 350Z. Practically, I prefer the G35x for our weather conditions...

2 Why are you interested in this next auto?
BMW M3, 645i, 350Z - fast and fun!
Infiniti G35x - fun and AWD! Also comfort for friends

3 What are you driving now? (Make/Model)
2004 Acura TL - NBP/quartz 5AT

Lotus Elise
S2000
A8L
745Li
LS430

Lotus or S2000 for a fun nice weather car, the TSX is a good daily driver for the north east but its not spirited enough for real fun. But it was cheap, and I liked that. The Audi, BMW or Lexus would be to replace the TSX in 4 years, I want a "statement" car of some sort, a full size luxury boat; by then I should be making 7 figures a year and I like cars, so why fight it.

3 What are you driving now? (Make/Model)

04 Acura TSX ABP 6spd
04 Accord EX SSM 5spd
04 Pilot EX SSM Auto
76 Malibu ugly ass beige- under 40k original miles.
