what % tint shuld i get
im thinking 15% all around. yeah i know its illigal in cali but even if i do get ticket'd im gunna retint it to a lighter %. i had 30% on the front in my tl and got pullled over 5-6 times never said anything about tint.
we'll what do you guys think?
im getting all 7 or 8 windows tinted thursday so hopefully you guys can give me a heads up.

I have 15%, who cares about the laws, haha. It's technically illegal in WA state too, but I've had all of my cars with illegal tint and drove around for years, no problems...

I would have gotten 15 if they had it. My tint place only had 20% so I went with that. Whatever you do just don't get 5%... you can't see shit at night.

I got 18% and haven't really gotten in a lot of trouble. You can still see in in the light and it cuts the sun glare a lot. Tint tickets aren't that bad around here, only about $40, so I could care less

5 on the back windows, 35 on the fronts and have had absolutely no problems (cops, seeing @ night, etc. etc.); I know people prefer to have all their windows uniform though; but it's not a huge deal to me.

i think 20% would be okay. my roommate has 5% all around on his rsx and my other roommate has 15% all around. 5 is way too dark IMO. 15 is good but my roommate got ticketed 2 weeks after getting it done. Your best bet is to just drive around with your front windows rolled down.

yeah thats true. hmm would a 5% lighter shade make a huge difference? aka 20 in front, 15 in back?

Nice job - I would've went with 15-20% tint all-around. I think when I get my car in 3 weeks I'm going to do limo all around with 50% on the windshield because I'm getting grey interior.
As a total side note, every single time I get pulled over for tint (I have 35% on my TL-S), it's in Manhattan by the World Trade Center site, like right on that block. For some reason I don't feel like I should be getting pulled over right there, especially with all the history over there. I just find that really weird - it's happened to me like 3 times already.

I went with 35% all around, the legal limit in Texas. I could have gone darker but I took off the front plate and didn't want another reason to get pulled over. I've always liked the uniformed look
