He didnt buy another car. Just wanted to sell it. We are gonna auction it off to smaller dealers. It ran good. Just had damage to one rim but overall good condition.

i never understood how people could sell nsx's so cheap
they can't go online for 30 seconds to find out its worth way more than that...?

congrats on the purchase, how much do you figure it will sell for at auction?

If the car is in the condition the OP says it is, I'd say the OE wasn't really that attached to it. Treated it like a Civic when he owned it and when he sold it

Im sure we would be able to sell it mid 20s at the auction based on how they are doing on ebay right now.

definately could use a little love.
They still look so modern, maybe not so much in pictures, but when it pulls up next to you your head will definately turn and your jaw will drop

They are not fast at all though. I was definitely disappointed. A corvette would spank it both in handling and straight line performance.

^ The NSX is a pretty old design .. but compare it to a 1996 Corvette .. would it win?

Straightline performance, sure. Handling-wise, I doubt it; the car was well known for its handling capabilities & why it got Ferrari to turn itself around.

Handling, 1996 NSX would take a 1996 Vette no problem.
Straight line, slight edge to the Vette. 200lb. more but also more power. Not sure but Vette's probably had multiple final drive ratio's available too from the factory, so that and gearing plays into it.

Yes, though the '02 NSX-R could probably take on a base C6 on the track.

Or you could simply but a CTSC on it and leave the C6 in the dust with a regular NSX

Or you could do the same amount of work to a C6 & dust the NSX.

Aftermarket comparisons are rather pointless, personally.

Maybe i've just been around/looked at a lot of NSX's, but something seems off with that NSX (more than the paint). How's that carfax look like?

While the NSX has awesome turn in and has great balance/feel on turns, the base vette w/ Z51 package will take turns just as fast/faster (even an -R). The C6 just surprises you with its grip at speed. It's just a harder car to drive and has less connection/steering feel than the NSX. The vette needs more driver skills and practice time around a track, but will certainly be faster.

The Autocheck on it was clean. No frame damage either

I'm going to guess that a 1996 with 100k miles on it is not going to be $50k, even in Miami. You just linked to a car with 11k miles on it. How is that even relevant? You might as well have linked to a picture of a moose.

there are tons of early models with over 40k miles

which is why they can be had for so cheap these days.

We will auction it off to the highest bidder. You need to have a dealer's license to be able to attend the auction though.

Looking back at it i think it was a mistake offering him 17k. He would have probably sold it to us even if we said $15k.

Ill trade you a rusted cutlass and a CL for it then?Ill throw in an extra set of BBS RCs. If the title is clean, the car is still valuable even with the mileage.
