Search in the 2nd gen CL forum. There's a lot of good advice to be had over there.

Start of with intake, headers and if your still hungry get the SC Kit w/ the exhaust... mrsteve had the highest number on his CL 295 whp, and 243 trq with all these toys.

Myself and the other members usually fall in between 270-285 whp w/ the high boost pulley. As mentioned above search on the 2nd generation CL forum, you will find tons of info.

Quick question about cars like yours and mrsteve's...Are G35s cannon fodder for you guys at the track with those HP and torque numbers?

Well I sold the CL and got the g35 exactly a month ago...

Now with all the toys done on the car there is no chance for a stock g35 to hang around... If he has FI, or turbo its a different story... My best friend has an 04 with headers, exhuast, spacers, z-tubes, ur crank pulley; couple of mods even with a 7-10 car lead the CL would catch up and bye bye... In my view it should be apple to apple so FI vs FI, and stock to stock... With headers and intake it would be a driver's race to see who finish first vs a G35 6spd.

Edit: mrsteve had a 13.4 run with trapping speed of 108, someone can correct me on it. Numbers are impressive considering its a fwd and 3500 lbs.

Those are the highest numbers on a auto w/ SC only. scalbert made around 370+ w/ the hope IC Kit on his 6spd. Allmotor is 417whp on the turbo setup...

Thanks, babyblue!

Next question: really want headers and are Comptechs the only ones to go? Or are there equally reliable and performance-worthy alternatives? I mean, the Comptechs have to be pricey for a reason, right? If there was an alternative which is cheaper, what's the catch?

They there are cheaper alternatives: Alphawerk, megan headers, stone, and there is another one can't remember... In short performance wise they are all the same pretty much since their all a copy desgin of comptech. Now in regards to quality, and fitment, Comptech are the top dawg, and haven't ever read of a post of fitment problems, or quality. The price you pay is the price you get, and in my I would definitely pick up Comptech only since to put them on and to run into fitment problems and send em back and reinstall is about the same cost of used Comptech

Which part of Canada are you in??
