I still don't get it.... to each his own and all but do people really think full-face wheel designs look good? Or do they get it just because it's VIP? I could probably shit something that looked better.

I would have to agree there. The E38 with those rims is definitely one of the best looking sedans...EVER. I can see why some of you prefer it to the W140, but I'm just partial to MB and the whole old-school "blocky" Mercedes look. It will never grow old.

Check out my User Name.

You have to respect it, this is someone that loves that 200K piece of engineering as much as you, most of the styles are unique on that poster and it's not like it's a riced up car so stfu. People are doing worse to these W140's and E38's these days, abused mechanically and some drop them when they get a big bill, don't hate on someone who's going to keep up such a nice car. It's rare seeing any of these cars, we see a lot of them in Japan on BenzWorld.

As far as W140 vs E38, I love both but E38 lacks a bit in the interior but it's a great car.

Actually, no he doesn't. He's entitled to his opinion. Not sure why you're getting all riled up about it and telling him to STFU.

My grandmother has had 5 S-Class Mercedes, all bought new ('98 420SEL, '95 S420, '00 S430, '05 S430 & '07 S550) & I've had one ('82 300SD).

Her '89 & '95 were the only 2 I never got to drive (too young at the time). I do remember the '95 being a really nice car to ride in.
It'd be a tough choice for me between the W140 & E38. I think the E38 is more the driver's car, which is appealing, but I've always been more partial to MB.

W140 S600, yes please.

Where I come from it doesn't matter if you revive a lost thread so STFU. Topic is still up for discussion and if it wasn't they would have deleted the thread.

Agreed. More times than not I see these cars neglected and beat to crap by some budget baller/enthusiast.

Well since we're reviving this, I guess i'll put my .02 in. E38 with the M-Parallel's is a veryy handsome car, wouldn't mind owning one. W140, and this may upset some of you, is to me my LEAST favorite S-Class. The styling is so bland and uninspiring. I will take the dictators' vehicle of choice and go with this:

The almighty W126. May not have aged as well as the W140, but it has immense road presence and it stands out in a good way.

I'm somewhat impartial though, my uncle has one thats been sitting in his garage under a tarp waiting for somebody to come do some restoration on her..

I miss my W126. Sure it was a slow (diesel) short-wheelbase. But it was in immaculate condition.
Same as my W123 240D until it got rear ended by an F-150 in the rain.
