VW has decided to stop importing them. Anybody who had any interest in such a thing bought the Audi A-8, wouldn't you?

Word. The A8 is sooo much nicer and better looking... and why would you spend so much money in a VW to begin with?

a dealership lent one to us for a week, i have to say it was very nice, very smooth and GREAT interior...but just cant compete with an audi in terms of brand recognition (as a luxury brand anyway)

VW new chairmen wanted to bring the brand upscale. I say he should go back to business school because then he would be competing with his other brands. Where do these people’s common sense go to? An $80k VW? Not on my life!

VERY VERY dumb on VW's part.

At least in North America, VW has some of the worst dealer facilities and some of the salesmen wouldn't even make it at Hyundai or Kia. Talk about the runt of the litter.

If you purchased a car nearing 6 figures would you want to bring it to a place like that??

As mentioned, get the Audi A8, a better car, better looking (IMO) and far far better service and prestige.

If you're going to shell out the bucks for a car like that, you obviously WANT luxury!
