Does anyone think that the new jetta looks like a Toyota Corolla?

VW is in such a tailspin that it'll go the way of Mitsubishi. Good riddance.

i still think the limited edition Jetta Gti from the previous year.

jettas and vws in general used to be great moddable enthusiast cars in the 90s, and earlier this decade. now VW has gone away with tunable performance and gone in the route of selling out to the general public. (as far as target marketing and a cumulative-design, ala the jetta looking like another high selling vehicle, the Corolla)

Everytime I see the new Jetta from the rear I always think it's a Corolla at first.

One of the VW designers must have fallen asleep at his desk the night before the drafts were due for the new Jetta, woke up and saw a Corolla and just decided to copy it.

Not really. Nissan's newest introductions are the M45, Titan, Maxima, and the Armada...none of these are economy cars

VW really went REALLY went downhill with that new Jetta. The only thing they did improve on SLIGHTLY is the interior. Other than that, its gross.

Interior is nice, but only on the loaded model. The base model interior is pretty crappy. Yes, the back looks very much like a corolla. Even some car magazines pointed this out.

yup! in both motor trend and road&track.. im not sure about car and driver though.

its pretty lame that vw decided to go and do this. it used to be a pretty decent and popular car. now its just trash (at least the exterior design).
