For those of you that aren't familiar with the Ring-Taxi's on the Nurburgring at Nordschleife, they are slightly modified M5's (brake pads and tires) driven by mostly former professional race car drivers for a small fee. Their job is to take up to 3 people around the 'ring extremely fast. Most of these drivers can complete the track in 8:15 to 8:30 with 4 people in the car! Their cars are maintained by BMW techs and the suspension and brakes are replaced every 5,000 km's or more.

Anyway, they pretty much rule the 'ring. The know both the track and their cars extremely well since they do this on an almost daily basis.

This video is of a modified M3 chasing the Ring-Taxi in order to film it on video. He says in his original post that he wouldn't have too much of a problem passing the taxi had he chose to. Anyway, it's a fun vid to watch. Note the numerous Porsches that get passed by both cars.

btw - funniest part about the video with Clarkson (posted above) is that at one point, she actually SCARES him... now this is a RARE occurrence... look for it, towards the end...

lol yeah that's what I love about her, she's also quite modest. I also love some other things about her, lol. Keep in mind, she's won the 24 hour Nurburgring race before, TWICE!! She means business. And you can tell in her driving... anything around the 8 minute mark at Nurburgring is SMOKIN'. The fact that its a bone-stock M5 sedan is just crazy!! yeah I love her.
