I say leave it alone. Personally, I think it's cheesy when people put the brand/model of their car on the license plate, that's why there is a badge . I think you should be creative when it comes to a personalized license plate. But it's your car and do what makes you happy, and congrats on the new ride!

Where's the option for neither?
Seriously, what's the point?
I can understand the debadge because it gives the car a cleaner look. However, why do you feel it's necessary that people know you're driving a 550? Is this some sort of status symbol? Help me understand.
No offense to the OP, but when I see a vanity plate that simply has the model of the car on it, I think... douchebag. It simply indicates to me that the driver is incredibly unoriginal and is eager for validation of self worth.
Don't do it. Think of something creative or meaningful.

I just meant that it is something that people with cheaper BMW's seem to do a lot. Kind of like ricers. Not saying it's the end of the world if he debadges sometimes excessive badges can look ugly. Now if you have a heavily modded 335 and it was as quick as an m3 I could understand cos in a sense you've "made the car your own" it's not like pretending it's something more than it is if that makes sense??

This makes no sense. The debadging is cool if you want to clean up the rear end... but if you want a vanity plate, make it more creative. Putting the model designation is kind of :ghey:
Oh, and I added a third option for neither. Figure it would give you a more accurate vote...

Speak of the devil...on my way to work today I saw a 545i with very clean looking rims and a great stance. Very rare to see a modded car I can appreciate outside of the forums. The license plate read QTR2SIX as in quarter to six, or 5:45. I thought it was pretty clever as I'm sure only people who care enough about cars would get that. So although not entirelly original, I think that TEN2SIX is better than the previous options. Just a thought.

Win!
I concur.
Clever, me likey. I definitely wouldn't have been able to decipher that plate while I was driving LOL, props to having the mental aptitude to figure it out.
QTR=Qatar, wait the driver's Middle Eastern?!?!?!?

i was thinking of getting mine done as JS + MS3, but if I want to put that "+" sign on the plate, I need to go with this children theme plate or something, which has like flower prints on the bottom of the plate.. so i backed off on that....

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
You could debadge it and have a plate that says 520i... (not sold in the US)
Or 4799 (cc displacement number), or try MY6MT
I voted option one but my other suggestions are better. And as stated above, debadge to clean the rear, but no poseur plates. That is :ghey:
