I am a bit lost, and I am sure it has all to do with my ignorance of LS engines. Is this an actual LS engine chopped and hacked to be a V12, or is this a different V12 platform modified to fit and LS platform?

I miss my LS2 It's impressive that they did it but it takes almost nothing to make 500+rwhp on LSx engines. Just seems like it's not worth the effort. With the LS7 being 7 liters already I think the LSx line has more than enough potential for displacement.

If you were bored enough and had enough money couldn't you do this with any engine like a V12 Honda J-Series motor?

Making High HP isnt the point of this project. making it something that no one else has done is. If it was simply about displacement i would run the ZZ572 or the Chevrolet Performance LSX454R 750HP/680TQ crate Engine
