Angry UTI Students?

So I know this guy from high school and he now goes to UTI. This dickhead always thinks he's the shit when it comes to cars. OHHH LOOK AT ME, I GO TO UTI. The guy talks, looks, and sounds like a kid alright. He posts lots of things on facebook talking about his stupid truck and racing it, and it's really annoying. This guy has never gone to a car meet whatsoever, but he still talks about how domestics are better, he likes tuners, BUT hates Hondas

*SIDE STORY* My friend got a surprise party from his gf who is also my friend. I couldn't attend the party, but guess who was there; owl boy. My friend drives
|
V this lovely car, BUT owl boy did not talk to birthday boy about cars AT ALL!!!! WTF, right?... idk, I thought that was stupid... a lot of honda people were there and he didn't talk to anyone about cars.
<img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6013/5980342027_3ce4cd2a6d_z.jpg">
PHOTO from A.Ja.Y. on flickr

Do you guys know anyone like that, because it bugs me and I want to know how you guys cope with it.

His looks are also bothering.
<img src="http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/224650_1517058025183_1796465871_941453_1653627_n.j pg" width="720" height="540" id="myphoto" aria-labeledby="photocaption">
Apparently UTI teachers talk shit about Hondas..... and boast about domestics.

Also, my friend posted a picture of him going 130 something and we had a lil conversation going on facebook talking about how America gets the shittier versions of cars, and this owl boy pops out of nowhere saying :
"Euro tune it lol... Find tuner shops that will euro tune it back!"
Now my question is, how much does this cost, and do shops really do that here in the US???

~I know there are ignorant people in this world... and that we can't do anything about it.

I solved this problem by not talking to kids from my high school anymore. They are mostly idiots and not going anywhere in their lives.

Lol, are you kidding me??? That's a parking pole (JDM style). A LOT of people liked it from the Krispy Kreme meet here in Burbank California. The pole can be screwed off wen he goes somewhere so it won't get jacked. And before anyone else asks, YES THAT IS A HOME DEPOT LIP, it comes in purple packaging and really durable, he uses it so his front lip wont get scraped.

Gotcha. I'm not really into the whole "OMGZ JDM" craze so that's why I didn't know what they were.

Shouldn't he have Honda badges on his car and not Acura if he wants the car to be JDM?

lol it's cool. Idk if my friend wants to change it, he brings up the point that in japan it's an Accord Euro R.... he likes having it as a luxury car, calling it an accord is I guess, degrading? And in all honesty, I think it looks better with the A. To each his own.
BTW, there is only 1 parking pole on the car

pretty much this..... about the euro tuning. Can I get an lol?
Like the m3, in the US the e36 is speed trapped at 137, but the euro versions are speed trapped at an even higher speed. I tried to look up euro tuning, on google before posting on here, but to my understanding.... OK I have none, what is changed when tuning a car to euro specs + questions above.

This thread is fucking retarded. Who starts posts like this? You should post this in dating and relationships, not car talk. Take that euro drama outta here.

Euro tuning probably applies to European cars, not Japanese.

130 is fast enough. Move out of your home town and you won't have to deal with former high school alumni.

Like, OMG! WTF!?!

lol, moving out isn't part of the plan until I get out of school and can financially survive on my own. And yeah... I get crazy with the keyboard

FYI Euro tuning goes hand in hand with a few companies and ask which he prefers. Just name some random brands IE say Mercedes and Dinan (but in reality Dinan is ONLY BMW)

European Car Tuners:
1. Hamann (multi brands)
2. AC Schnitzer (Multi Brands)
3. Dinan (bmw)
4. Carlsson (MB)
5. Brabus (MB)
6. Renntech (MB)
7. Novitec (multi brands)
8. Ruf (multi Brands)

just to name a few, just randomly ask him and you'll make him know that he's full of shit. For example I met some younger kid who was talking smack at a car show and he's like Oh yeah, my cousin who works in the army got me a HSV-GT10 motor from that car honda was testing. It's basically a military v12 that they use and it's coming from afghanistan since that's where they do desert testing.

Me-> Honda doesn't do V12's maybe a V10 at the most, and I don't think an automaker would test in a war zone when Germany is closer and as well the nevada deserts are right here in the US.

Kid-> uh, yeah, okay, sure, whatever... I'm sure once my car is built I'll beat any car in a street race...

Me-> Turns around and laughs along with my buddy

Thank you for an informative reply sir
So only certain companies (tuning shops?) can Euro tune?? Cuz owl boy said to
FIND A TUNER SHOP THAT WILL EURO TUNE IT BACK That made me think euro tuning can be done almost anywhere.
I'm still sorta lost with euro tuning, but am catching on and when they euro tune cars, what is done to the car?

this thread is wat

I think the guy OP was talking about really doesn't know much or is just being sarcastic. The UTI kid is probably just reporting what he selectively heard. Basically any automotive technical school around this area (UTI, Sequoia/WyoTech, various community college auto programs) have instructors that talk smack about Hondas whether tongue in cheek for amusement or from pure disdain out of working on them

At least at the school I went to, a few of the instructors hated working on Hondas mainly because they had the pleasure of dealing with tracing down vacuum leaks and other assorted things back in the day.

And we really do get the shittier versions of cars. Or we don't get any of them at all.

Actually, the owl boy said the instructors say that "all Hondas are ricers" and he grew a big hate for Hondas, to a point where he drew a picture of a Toyota truck facing a Honda: the truck had a word bubble saying I HATE HONDASS AHHH!..... Sadly, he deleted this picture from facebook. He is also addicted to trucks and keeps saying they are better for off roading and this and that. He gets ridiculous. This guy doesn't get sarcastic with car talks like that.
And it is sad to see that America doesn't let itself get the good stuff, I didn't even know there was a ford f6 till u posted that pic

So do you, imho. But that's beside the point.

I guess when you're 18 you think everything has meaning and you want to rationalize your choices.

So, here's some advice:

You will find jerks everywhere you go. Sometimes you'll be one. It's just how it is. Don't take it personal. It's not worth giving a shit about.

IOW - let it go, move on. You don't have to prove anything to anybody but yourself. Ever. You only have to live up to your own expectations.

If you can get that ^^ .... really get it, you'll live a happy life.

1.lol, I talk as if I were talking to my peers online. I can take talks seriously, but you wouldn't know that unless we were face to face right? I really don't take his words seriously and when I say he acts like a kid, I really mean he acts like a kid.
2. I already know that there are jerks everywhere and I become one. When I asked how you guys cope with people like him, it was more sarcastic than serious, because we all see it. Look left, look right, some people don't hold doors for others; jerk. I talk shit about him, I felt like sharing a lot.
This wasn't supposed to be a serious talk about him, this was supposed to be serious talk about that Euro tuning. Hence the reason why I put the thread under car talk. The title given to it is because when you meet this guy you're like "UTI student "
Thanks for the advice though, I was given that talk long ago by my dad, alongside plenty of others that I do thank him for.

Wow that isn't even a real JDM parking pole. Seriously he has to screw it off. The real things are automatic and completely contained in the bumper. They are motorized like a power antenna comes out of a car.

This is a real JDM Parking Pole what that kid has is an absolute joke.
