Unknown Sensor

My cousin just bought a used car, and it has this, appears to be, aftermarket installed sensor, anyone has any idea what it is? Thanks.

GPS locator from a used car lot. Can disable the car if bills aren't paid. Could be from an old previous car lot, or could be from your cousins seller

Doesn't look like a TL. What model is it?

Perhaps aftermarket alarm.

It's not a TL; just a general question on that aftermarket sensor.

did you ever find out if it's from your cousin's seller? (did your cousin buy it from a used car lot?)

or do you think it's from an older previous car lot?

He got it from a private seller; one of the shop he went to thinks it's from some types of alarm kit; not sure if it's for glass sensor or remote start sensor; my cousin thinks he should get the remotes from the seller, but seller said he's not sure neither because it was his son's car.

get rid of it. lol

I dont think it's an alarm. probably wont be any remotes.
it's a starter interrupter device from a used car lot.

best thing to do is to remove it.

edit* I mean it could be an alarm, as an alarm would hook up to the ignition as well.
which goes back to the placement of the device. it's definitely hooked up to the ignition.
