UHG! my old man put windsheild fluid into his dex-cool

as the title says, just got a call from my old man, he was filling up all the washerfluild in the cars, and ended mixing almost a gallon of washer fluid into his coolant reservoir. guess he missed the dex-cool only HUGE sticker on the reservoir.

thankgod he called me first, and didn't start it up or anything, NOW i have to remove the resvoir and drain that shit, and have him flush the whole system b4 he blows his bus up... ugh/rant

Coolant reservoir only, or did it get into the radiator??

If it's just the reservoir, you can just siphon, rinse, siphon and fill with coolant rather than draining the entire system. G/L.

drain it and replace it all with regular 50/50 prestone and you'll be fine.. and no more dex-cool problems

putting windshield solvant into the overflow tank won't do squat......expecially since the car wasn't run........

drain it and move on......no need to get a bent out of shape........

yea the 3.1 and 3.4 L engines are notorious for bad intake manifold gaskets, i've personally done 3, one that also had a bad HG, which sucked, the motor had to be dropped, i'd i had another project to work on, and didn't have to partake, just helped now and again.

either way, i just did the reservoir drain, clean, and refill. we'll get a flush soon enough.. its just a pain to find shops that'll work on this damn bus, its too heavy. i never wanna be under it on jack stands, no thanx, lol!
