this is the new future of the American SUV...this whole bubble look that started with a cherokee and worked its way into lexus and then took to infiniti and nissan and now porsche.....now these....everyone is trying to make their cars look like shitty bubbles...uchs its so ugly

Lexus rolled out a special RX 330 in Detroit, the Thundercloud Edition. Shown here in Thundercloud Metallic paint, this exclusive model will also be available in Flint Mica. Both body colors will be matched with light gray interior with leather-trimmed seats and black bird’s eye maple wood trim. These sport/utes are further distinguished with a chrome grille, five-spoke aluminum wheels, and logos applied to the front doors and floor mats. Consumers can select from the traditional range of RX options for the Thundercloud models, including the Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS), Mark Levinson audio, and rear seat DVD entertainment system. Thundercloud models go on sale late January, with a planned volume of 6500 units. The cost for exclusivity is just $300 above the base MSRP of $35,775 for the two-wheel drive model, and $37,175 for the all-wheel-drive model.

 

I like the M-class.

 

The Infinity looks like a big Mini. The GMC has a great American ass and the Jeep looks like the Homer....

 

Charger looks OK.

 

The M-Class, Charger, H3 and Torrent and Avalon were decent to pretty nice.

The ugly cars that I saw were the Subaru, Riced Stratus, 2 Ford concept trucks, the Infiniti and the Ridgeline

 

What's up with Subaru going with the alfa front end look?

 

The only that that really throws me off about the Charger is the front end but everything else is fine.

 

And the Charger should NOT be a 4 door car

Face it. They have no creativity in Detriot. All the people with talent are in Germany or Japan. Here was their big chance to make something totol ly new and hot. But they did this. Typical.

 

I think the charger looks like an extended body of a new mustang. The Honda truck just looks like GM designed and manufactured it, with a different badge of course.

 

Ford Fairlane really looks a lot like Range Rover... Wonder what the interior is like..

 

Doesn't Ford own the Rover group? Once Rover and Mini split Ford got Rover and Mini went to BMW?

 

 

actually, i kinda liked the ford synus concept. it was the most unique concept of all. my least favorite was definitely honda truck. also, inifinity's huge SUV wasn't too bad. it looks better in person.

 

This shit ain't right:

 

Charger looks too much plastic. I'd hate to see the interior. The quaility will be typical Dodge. Heck, I've seen soo many 300C out with their front lights burnt out? Sheeezz..

 

The Subie kind of grows on me after awhile. Subarus are great cars (we own one), but none of them have ever really been good looking.

except for the crappy Hummer knockoffs - paramilitary look in suburbia............

 

The B9 and Ridgeline are by far the ugliest especially considering they are both production ready.
