A little late, but congrats! A couple of guys would show up in these when I went to meets with the Jetta and they looked like a blast. I think you'll have a lot of fun.

Alright so, this weekend the Owdi is getting some love. I plan on changing the oil & doing a full detail on the interior.
1: Cabin filter change
2: 7 quarts of 10w-30 Mobil 1 Synthetic oil w/ MANN filter
3: Engine degreaser
I also ordered a Torx bit set cause these f'in things are full of them
And yes, before y'al say anything .. I put in washer fluid & changed the time. Car is now back in 2016

See, this is why I come to AcuraZine. Thanks thoiboi!
On an unrelated note (and more serious ), you mentioned B12 Chemtool back in the S2000 thread many months ago and decided to put a can in the S4.
I don't know if it's ever been done before or really needs a tune up, but the car idles noticeably smoother and feels peppy. Thanks broham,

Gah, I dislike torx bits! Who's brilliant idea were they?!
I'm ready to see more pics of this car. The front looks a bit dated (well duh, it's 17 years old), but I think the back looks pretty timeless. There's something about those tail lights that I really enjoy. The side profile is also.
Keep it up, man. Such a unique blue!!

Torx bits are actually less susceptible to stripping unlike their flat and Phillips brethren.

I don't disagree, it would just be nicer if they were far more common. Most tool kits generally don't have them, or, have a limited number of sizes, so you're left having to buy a torx kit separately. Just a pain, is all.

Torx security bits are the bitches... I don't mind Torx too much.. but it might be due to me wrenching a lot on bicycles and I have a fuckton of Allen wrenches around so Torx is just another one on the list.

The security ones have that nipple in the middle, don't they? If so, can you readily even buy those? I don't remember where I came across those, but I was sincerely angry as I had nothing to take them off with

Rawr.
I remember back in my college days, there was Audi tech in my building who owned a Imola Yellow B5 S4... omg that car was sex
Awesome pickup Tyler; looking forward to the progress.
If I were you and assuming this is a long term project, I'd go for an RS4 conversion...

I need to charge up my Sony 5N and take some new pics, I'll make sure to get some at C&C this weekend for sure.
A little back story, I grew up watching CKY / CKY2K / CKY3 (Pre-Jackass) movie series and Bam Margera actually owned a B5 S4 in Nogaro Blue way back when before he hit the big time. I really can't put my finger on it and why, but I've always LOVED the S4 (and Nogaro blue) and that feeling of owning one never left me.
Here we are almost 15 years later and I picked one up.
Thanks bruh.
This is my first time I've owned 2 cars and it's AWESOME. I love opening the garage door in the morning and asking myself ... which one do I take today?

The RS4 conversion (mechanically) is the starting point for a Stage 3 build and it's extremely expensive (new Turbos go for around $2k for the pair). It's really not uncommon for people to dump $6k - $12k into their builds depending on the obstacles that go along the way.
My plan as of right now is upkeep, add breather mods such as Bi-Pipes / Intake, exhaust mods such as a catback & high-flow downpipes, and MAYBE put on some replacement K03s (stock turbos) to keep the cost down.
If I could have a semi-reliable ~350whp S4, I would be one happy dude.

Sausage. The Germans love sausage more than torx.

I don't know man...the Germans really love their torx stuff...especially security torx...
Well my comment was based off of my E46 ownership, they Audi may likely be very different lol. Everyone who has disassembled the B5 A4/S4 has described the engine bay as a jumbled mess of wires and hoses.

I tried grabbing a video demonstrating the torque, here's a quick 3k-5k pull between 2nd and 3rd gear.
FYI - I rolled the windows down and was right next to the median ... love the sound of the turbos spooling up

Not going to lie .. it's actually nice not having VTEC for a change This is the meat of the power band .. the car probably has no more than 240whp at the top
(APR claims 306 to the crank on Stage 1, I'm assuming AWD + 15 years old = 240 - 250 at best)

^I agree man. That's probably been the biggest curve for me to learn about the S5 so far. In the TL the power didn't really come until what, 4500? In the S it comes really early. So shifting/power changed a lot.

not too familiar with supercharger. I thought usually you change the pulley and stuff to make more boost.
