clay bar ain't gon do sh1t.

clay bar only removes embedded crap in your clear coat (happy Taco?), it won't bring any gloss back to your finish and will probably make it worse. You need to clay and then polish to get the gloss back.

On another note, how many CEL's has the Audi thrown since the last post in this thread? Also, I'll be in SD first week of August if you want to go for a drive. Make sure to bring a back up car just in case.

None!

Just leaks a bit of oil

Pretty happy with it, the Audi hasn't given me any issues in the last 2500 miles and it really isn't driven that nicely. lol

I came across an s4 in the same color as yours, just the other day.

The bad: he had a front mount intercooler on it, and it looked like it was installed by pirates.

The good: he was riding on the OEM wheels

Really? I've put 12k+ on my car in 7 months of ownership. That's with 1.5 months spent in the shop. Haha.

Extend that 8-12 weeks to 14-16 weeks. That's about how long it took me to get mine.

Yeah, I only drive my for the canyon cruises and track days pretty much. No work commutes at all for the past 7 months. Even when I was working at an ad agency, the commute was only 7 miles to DTLA from Pasadena. haha

All very extremely hard miles!

Took 1killercls's advice and bought some replacement motor mounts for the ETH FO

B5 RS4 mounts ftw! Can wait to have them on the car, not exactly looking forward putting them on

Also, picked up some RaceRamps! Makes simple maintenance so much easier, clears the S4 no problem and the S2k needs a little assistance haha.

I plan on getting the oil leak fixed in the next 2000 miles when it goes in for the timing belt change @ 120,000 (currently at 117,900 and it's required every 65,000)

You know what's f'ing cool?

Getting more garage space! Over the weekend, the GF helped me rip out all of the wooden shelving and replace with some heavy duty metal racks.

Gained about 2ft, which I so desperately need lol. No joke, Ill take a video and you'll see what kind of swift manuvering is needed to get out.

So GF with metal racks helped you get an extra 2"
pics?

Or did I misunderstand that?!?!

I love your S2000 hitler mustache

Damn, I might invest in a set of those...I bet it'll be great to do the oil on the V and the SRX!!! Probably the S2000 is too low.

Those ramps are great. I have some rhino ramps, great for oil changes. I was always scared of the car falling on me with jacks.
I can't get the CL up. Do you use some 2x6 laid down for the S?

I can't get my car up on ramps even shallower than Tyler's. Bought some 2x4s to put before the ramps, which eventually worked. They work fine for virtually anything not requiring wheels off.

T, do you drive both cars during the week depending on how you feel? Or is the Audi starting to become the more usual daily?

With the S2000, the ramps barely touch the bumper. Requires little help from a 2x4 brushed up against the front of the ramp.

Keep in mind the S2000 is at stock ride height and the front bumper is prettty short from the wheels.

Your mileage may vary

I usually take the S2k for shorter trips / spirited drives, the Audi is more of the highway cruiser. I try to split the mileage as much as possible, but the S4 has seen more miles since it's still fresh and I'm still better familiarizing myself with it.

One thing I love is the S4 is super practical for work - I managed to fit an 2 large 4U servers, large 4ft metal dolley, and 2 big boxes of networking equipment with some room to spare. The rear seats fold down and there's a good 2' x 4' entry to the trunk.

That's one thing I hated about my Accord / CL-S / 3G TL .. the entry way to the trunk was literally the size of a damn port hole.

The TL only has a glory hole.
Honestly,a BIG reason I set my sights on a wagon is because the V sedan has no folding rear seats also and I'm tired of being forced to figure out a way to haul stuff, when I need to.
If my wife didn't care to be in the garage it would be awesome to have both my cars side by side to pick which one to take. Instead of car covers and locked gates and rearranging cars etc.

I'm so glad you're enjoying the Audi...she really is pretty.

They have a set of ramps that are 2 piece that seem like you only need 7.5" at the end of a yard stick rather than 10.5" with the ones you got...but they're substantially more expensive.

Thanks bruh

Yeah, the longer ramps are more expensive but are 100% necessary with a lowered car. This has the only time in my life where stock suspension put a smile on my face

Maybe Betty & Santa can combine your burfday / Christmas gifts?

I caved.

I found a deal I simply couldn't pass up and the nice thing about these is they came from the B6 S4 ... Same size as my existing wheels so the tires will swap right over!

The remaining 3 are covered in old plastidip (super hard to get off)

Once they're all cleaned up, I'll have my tires swapped over followed by some pictures.

Heres how how it should look:

LMAO...
I swear, I'd expect a single 20 year old to make a suggestion like that
Have I asked, no...but we have argued over why she she cares about having her stock car that I care for in the garage...
and she retorted with why would I want my wife and kid having to get into a hot car or getting wet in the rain.
To which I replied, I wouldn't...
