Ok, but that doesn't address your comment about the G35/350z lacking in performance.

That's very true.

But why look at a $12k S4 that's 10 years old and a brand new Camaro SS? That's just

Pick a price range and then buy the best car in that range for what you're looking for ...

Short of FI, you aren't getting anymore power from them.

It's crazy for me to look at all my options? I disagree. I like & want a lot of different cars, but can only replace my daily with one.

I will drive them all & see what I like most. If I like the S4 enough, I'll look at certified 07/08s.

Do this. Please drive all of them and more and more and more since you like to look at all your options. You should take your favorite car magazine with you, so it can help you with brainstorming when you can't think of something new to test drive.

Don't ask for help when you are not really willing to take advice from us. Clearly your list of cars is all over the place.

I could probably get banned for this, but you are pretty fking close-minded noob.

Why not buy a cheap civic to DD and then you can get a less reliable more fun car.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they are about even in most categories (or the S4 is slightly slower).

Yeah, I normally commute 50 miles each way in a 10-second car myself.

Because, you know, commuting and drag strip runs are essentially the same thing.

I would get the V8 S4...like a 04-05. But the bimmers you listed don't really compete...I mean how could you put 335i with C6 Vette? I would do 335xi actually...AWD FTW...
