Seller signed the new owner line, crossed it out & initiated. AZ says it's now void as it has been "altered" He is moving to Minnesota & not responding to texts.
I created a case with the CA. DMV, at least he filed the release of responsibility so they have me as the new owner. Now I get to fill out forms, wait for them to respond & eventually mail the documents I have, 2-6 weeks I'll have a shiny new CA title in my name I can use to transfer & register, hope it is less than 90 days so I don't need a new smog.
On the bright side, it has '24 tags & the plate has not been killed so I can drive it (insured it starting 10/13 before I left to get it)
I HATE title mistakes...and I could have told that guy that an initial and a scratch out wasn't gonna cut it.
Oh well...sounds like you know how to address it.
Looking forward to the upgrades!
Window regulator was a mess, ground at the top. I replaced it today, was quite the adventure. PO JB welded the door pull in at the top mount where the mirror switch is. Getting it apart was no fun. Ordered a 225 "repaired" replacement. WHY THE FUCK are they 800 from BMW?????
Made an interim pull from a flashlight case I never used.
Second wheel, tires & Koni shocks came (not unboxing until I get the springs, supposedly tomorrow)
I dropped the OEM airbox & broke a mount, looking for a CAI, made a temp HAI.
Your mods are so funny.
Is this eating up all your time now that the SUV is done?
That on the chopping block?
I've seen your pattern!
I worked on the tree Monday, I will be buried in it. This is what I wanted (and to keep the Tundra) when I got the 86. This time I did it right. I cheap car with a reasonable motor that is fun to drive (I wanted an '08 SC Miata when I got the 86)
Speaking of MOAR power......
Ordered aggressive M3 cams, need to find a mechanic to install them, VANOS timing is way outside my comfort zone.
Cams are going back to the seller. After 3 days of being sent to another shop & getting back to the first one, I found a shop willing (for 150/hr x8) to do the job, then I asked about the scoring, first they said none is ok, then maybe depending on how bad it is. Between the cost & possibility it will be a mess I called FedEx, requested they return to sender & created a return on eBay, seller isn't happy.
For almost 2500, I'm 1/2 way to a new SC for MAYBE 20hp, NO!
