T.. I saw a 535i with an M badge this morning..
I almost vomited and then immediately felt bad for you.
I'd apologize for the glare in the photo, but it's probably for the best

I absolutely HATE it when people do that! I told the story before when I had the E60 that I pulled up next to some idiot in a 550i GT on the freeway who had put an M5 badge on his car. When I double downshifted next to him and the V10 roared, he looked at me and immediately exited the freeway. Such poseurs.

Don't M a car when it is not an M. How hard of a freaking concept is that?

FWIW, I see this more often with BMW than the other 2 German brands. I don't see poser "AMGs" or poser "RS" badges from Merc or Audi respectively.

But, the random "M"-ing of a non-M car is baffling. I recall shaking my head at an "M" 320i.

Well M340i is a real thing now... so what can you do. Soon BMW will have M3-40i

Too damn confusing. BMW naming convention is overly complicated, which doesn't help. I actually thought it was an M-Sport 535i or something no idea if that actually exists or not.

I'm not a fan of their wheels, plus I like the OEM ones just fine. Some of their other cosmetic stuff is okay, though.

I'm into good looking oem wheels...
if my stocks hadn't been retardedly curbed on the Audi, I'd have those.
I also picked up the set I have on it now (Avante Garde, forged in my dreams) for
cheap and they were perfect. I chose stock size so I could swap tires if I decide
to refinish my oem wheels.

No long weekend for me...too busy with work deadlines. Maybe a road trip the end of July; I'm trying to see if I can get the calendar worked out.

Dang sorry to hear that you don't get to take the 4th off for an extended weekend. Hopefully you can get that end of July trek set up then...we are doing one as well and likely taking the Hyundaudi to the Rockies late-July/early-August.
