I'm sure you're referring to S A CHO and his decision to buy an '11 V6 Mustang. That V6 Mustang is more than capable of giving a number of higher priced machinery a run for their money. In both acceleration and handling. For the price, there isn't much out there than can compete with it. Part of being a "car guy" is recognizing value and performance as a complete package. A "fail" is someone who seems to feel that a brand, whatever the manufacturer, is representative of absolute performance.

If you're referring to new, the "SVT Cobra" has been out of production for several years.

Good one!!

Shit...maybe I don't want the 300hp Mustang, maybe the 122hp in the CRZ is more suited to this car guy

Listen to what Terry just said, you might learn a thing or two

The new Mustangs are fast. The 2011 Mustang GT will give the M3 a run for it's money on the track.

As much as I'd love to keep going on about the Mustang, we should try and keep the thread on track; At least for Ericks sake...

What crowd? I own a Honda now and have had 5 in the past. I didn't buy my last one or my TL with intent to modify it to make it "faster" I'm cool off of that.

I gotta find a car with that all natural interior.
Man made interior materials are so overrated.

I want a dashboard made of adobe!
I want wood pedals.
I want leather floormats.

Hoo boy...

I loved Honda...and still hold out hope for it. That being said, alot of what made it great (i.e. the Integra, NSX, S2000, Legend)...well, those kind of died. In place we still have some decent cars but with a polarizing design and in some ways, lacking what the competition offers readily: a V8, RWD, coupe.

Still, any company that comes up with the Asimo is cool in my books. I believe they will get better and get back to being what we all fondly remember.

Repeat the Acura/Honda mantra: Changes coming....5 years out.

We've been repeating it for a decade now.

Nowadays Honda's idea of "performance" is an idiotic-looking CRZ hybrid with 106 hp. Wow. Their "cutting edge" engine is the same SOHC unit they've been making for nearly two decades. Their interior design incorporates more plastic than a toy car. And I could go on.

Sad to say that today, I am no longer a Honda fan. Nissan/Infiniti is the new Honda....
Actually, I think Hyundai is the new Honda.

Well, not sure about "new" Honda for Hyundai.

But, Hyundai is definitely the cool Asian car company right now that can't seem to build a bad car...

Only that little detail....seems like an easy fix

While they are at it, I think they should add a few more buttons to the center console.

I currently carry 35 torque wrenches in my TSX because I needed the extra torque.

Now I can smoke most any Ford Pinto off the line. Sometimes I can clobber a Gremlin with a trailer hitch. Those hitches add like 20 HP...

Fuckin' hypocrite...

I have a 17 and a 19 year old Ford. Neither are close to falling apart, yet neither were ever known for their outstanding initial quality... Funny how that works...

The new Honda Car Culture is what killed my passion for Honda. I was a huge Honda Head throughout the 90's and the scene during that time was really fun and inspiring. The possibilities of what could be done with a 1.8L four cylinder motor seemed to be endless and was really driving the scene in those days. Witnessing David Shih hit the 10 sec. mark in his "Silver Bullet" CRX in Pomona was amazing (and Adam Saruwatari in his RX-7 too) or watching Shaun Carlson and Jason Whitfield (<--these two I considered my mentors and the reason why I got into the scene, RIP Shaun) Viet Lam, Ed Bergenholtz, Kenny Tran and Steph Papadakis really pushing the limits of Honda ingenuity really set the bar of where the scene is today. However, once the 90's ended, the Golden Age of the Honda scene was gone forever. Now it's filled with Ricer Boys with their god forsaken body kits and shady Know-It-Alls that would rather fight with their fist when their car gets beat as opposed to going back to garage and perfecting their tuning skills for the next race. Plus, growing up in SoCal, I sure as hell don't need to watch some shitty youtube documentary to inform me about Honda Car Culture, bitch I experienced it first hand!

There are still "dual" dealers out there. I've visited a few. Cars, motorcycles, lawn mowers, ATV's, all under the same roof.

So OP has 34 posts and seems to think that we do nothing but bash Acura/Honda. How about he go and read the thousands upon thousands of posts of us wishing for Honda/Acura to step up their game and make something to compete with Infiniti, BMW, Audi, the list goes on.

The sad truth is they have shit. Sure they have a bunch of fully loaded vehicles that on paper have a great sense of value. Are they fun though? No. Are they nice to look at, eh, maybe if you're into birds and like beaks. The honest to god truth is that many of the OG members have given up with Honda/Acura and for good reason and have moved on to Lexus, Infiniti, Audi, BMW just to name a few. And the outlook for Honda/Acura from an enthusiasts standpoint is bleek. And the fact that so many of us have already bought into so many other brands means that for the most part we won't be returning to Acura/Honda anytime soon. Sorry Acura/Honda, you had your chance time and time again and still have yet to welcome us back.

At the rate Acura/Honda is going, I'll be retired before they bring back the NSX or have any decent sports coupe worth buying.

FWIW, I don't need to watch the damn video to express my dislike or like of Acura/Honda for that matter. If you need proof, it's sitting in my garage. I had to buy an older model to enjoy Acura for what it should have always been. Race inspired machines that enlighten the driver, not feel like they are a muted peon among the masses on the freeway with their numb steering and so-so handling characteristics when compared to the companies they should be competing directly against, Infiniti, Audi, Lexus, and if they played their cards right, BMW and Merc.

DOn't get me wrong, I LOVED the old Honda. I had two Preludes (both 4th gen VTEC's) two Civic's (an 06 Si and a 92 LX), two Accords (a 91 EX and a 93 SE), a CRX (86 Si), and a 2004 TSX. All of them were great cars. I just moved on and Honda didn't. I'm not 16 years old anymore and I'd rather buy a car with 300hp rather than spend time and money building a 2 liter 4-cylinder with 250hp. And RWD is always nice.

Btw, the OP really should PM SSFTSX. They could have all kinds of private "Honda is teh gr8est thing evah!!!!!" conversations.....
