Transmission Problem??????

I Have A 03' Cl Type-s Automatic. I Have 56000 Miles. I Know The Cl's Were Racalled For Trans. Problem, But When I Went To The Dealership They Told Me That My Vin. Number Did Not Match And That My Warranty Was Up At 50000. I Thought They Extended The Warranty's To 100,000 Miles? When I Went To The Dealership The Guy Who Took Care Of Me Said That He Talked To The Owner An Fankel Aura, He Said That They Were Not Going To Charge Me, Because I Was Such A Good Customer??? Which Is A Total Lie Because I Don't Even Get My Car Fixed At The Dealership! The Owner Said That A New Transm. Would Cost Me Usually $5200. I Want To Know If My Car Is Under Warranty? He Told Me My New Trans. Would Be 12 Months Or 12000 Miles Warranty. Were The 03' Not Reacalled???? And Are They Giving Me A Used Trany??? I Find It To Be A Little Suspect That A New Car Like Mine Would Have Problems Already!!!!

take a deep breathe and don't be worried. The dealer is prob correct and that your cars VIN doesn't fall under the POS Glass tranny extended warranty. Check the transmission thread and I think you can check yourself by signing up on Acura's site on the owner's link. The 7/100,000 is more for the 01's. If something were to happen to your tranny, I would fight it and have them include your car as part of the 100K drivetrain warranty.

Tranny warranty covers 1999-2003 TL's and 2001- early 2003 CL's, so there is a possibility you may not be covered depending on your VIN and build date.

Call Acura corporate, sign up on Acura's website as TypeS boi mentioned and you should be able to verify if you're covered or not.

Also, you'll have better luck posting in the CL section of the site. Unfortunately we cannot move topics between the OffTopic and Car sections... so I can't move this for you. You can follow this link though.... https://acurazine.com/forums/automotive-news-6/
