Transmission issues

Nissan/Infiniti transmissions are totally opposite to Acura/Honda.
G35 drivers 03-04 (05 is unknown) have 6MT major issues while Acura/Honda with V6 5AT/4AT.

Lots of guys already replaced 3 times manuals on both G35 sedans and coupes as well as 350Z.
Here is the example - link

Hopefully they (Infiniti) would resolve the issues with upcoming 05 coupes and sedans 6MT.

Sounds like Infiniti is replacing them with no fuss though. Thats a good thing.

I wouldn't say this is a widespread issue. My G tranny is rock solid as of 9,000 miles. And considering the 6mts on the Gs are much less than all the Honda Odesseys, Accords, Acura CLs and TLs... By a LARGE margin. By a numbers game, this issue is VERY small.

Just read the thread... It's just a handful of people. Hardly call that any sort of an issue.

Honda autos are notorious for being weak anyway.....from the Civic to the NSX (that's why the autos HP are rated lower.)
