So I went to the dealer a couple months ago to get some TSB stuff taken care of and he tells me the G is due for a tranny/diff oil change. I decided to wait but now I think it needs to be done. I of course have the 6MT and am wondering if I should let them do the whole change or if I should buy a specific tranny oil for them to use. Does anybody have any experience with this? Can you recommend the best oil for this application? Thanks guys!

 

I can't remember what I used on my buddy's car when I did it for him. It was likely some pennzoil product

 

I'd recommend you do it yourself, it's very straight forward if you know how to turn a wrench.

 

I know for my FX, you have to use Nissan J Matic fluid for the tranny. If you use anything else, you'll void your transmission warrant.....

No experience with it though-- I think my Integra used heavy engine oil for its manual trans.
