Traffic Ticket
If you get issued a citation, and you get your traffic ticket in the mail with your name spelled wrong, color of car wrong, model wrong and lastly license plate wrong, what is the likely hood of the ticket being dropped?

Whoever entered the data into the computer for mailing may have misread the officer's writing. If the original citation itself is legible and has the correct information, then OP is much less likely to escape.
True. That may have happened. Then maybe whoever entered the data must have been drunk, high, or retarded....LOL

I think if the plate number's wrong, you stand a pretty good chance of getting out.
To those saying it could've been someone having trouble reading the original handwritten citation, it's hard to explain misspelling the colour of a car, and to a lesser extent the model. I think that's a bit careless.

I am not sure why a cop would give such a ticket - unless you were being given a lenient slap on the wrist or you were off-lane for quite a while. If this is the case, pay it and be done. If not, go to court and plead 'not guilty.' Simply state the facts: you received a ticket in the mail for driving a vehicle that you know nothing about and have never driven. Don't play lawyer or try to be smart. If the Judge ask if you own a similar vehicle with similar License plates, politely answer yes, but explain that it is not described by the ticket. The Judge may get annoyed with the cop for getting so much wrong and just dismiss it.
