It looks like an R8? So fucking what? I could find five other cars it resembles too. It's a sports car with distinct lines and a low profile. For some reason you've lost your passion for Acuras and are bitter. Go to Audizine and be happy.
Did VTEC just kicked in yo car?

Grow up.

I was a Honda fanboy for a LONG time. Most of us in this thread once were the same. Honda/Acura is generally being bashed on due to soooooooo many reasons.

Again, you need to grow up man.

There's a difference between having an opinion & making dumbass comments like this.
He's full of shit. Acura doesn't have a running chassis to build that car on ... So where did it come from?

Bottom line is they took a R8, stripped the body off it and put some ridiculous Japanese body on it and an Acura badge. Since Acura signed the exclusive marketing for the SuperFriendsLeagueofJusticeHall movies they couldn't put the R8 in it ... Hence the one-off body IMO.
Like he really has any more of an idea what's under that body than anyone else in this thread.

Well, we all know he talks of his ass more than ace ventura.

Fact is...cars like this are made by 3rd party companies for movies all the time.

Example:
Who made Bumblebee for the 1st transformers movie? Saleen...using GM molds and GTO underpinnings. Provided by....GM.

So Acura probably reached out to some shop familiar with them...provided a chassis (nsx, etc) and and parts and it was fabricated for the film.

I'm sure actual details will come out at some point.

Either way, still fugly

Considering your experience with the industry, I don't doubt you at all that it's built by a 3rd-party company.

As for the design, I like it, but I guess we'll just disagree there.

In the first Ironman movie Tony had a classic Cobra. I do not know why he would not own a future classic 2005 NSX.

And yet it still looks better than a 4G.

I like it, I'd like it more if Acura actually made it instead of all these concepts

My statement was not directed towards any of your comments. But since you bring this up, who are you trying to convince: me or you?

Said the 26 year old owner of a Fast and Furious "Zoomy Zoomy Boom" Mazda. Thank you for giving me something to smile about all morning.

The title of this website is "ACURAZINE: the unofficial Acura enthusiast resource". If you are no longer enthusiastic, why are you here?

Acura made GREAT cars for 22 years and only recently fell off the map. I still remember the 22 years of great cars, but most people only want to focus on the last 3. When all is said and done, Acura will go down as one of the best car brands ever.

For many of us, it was Acura itself that quelled our enthusiasm for the brand. Nevertheless, last time I checked, there's still room in this community for AUTO ENTHUSIASTS of all types; unless you usurped Ron A and no one told us about it.

Great, problem is if someone watches the movie and decides they want one..........oh well.

It may at least generate some showroom traffic

I haven't changed. Acura has changed.

Granted they did finally come out with a TSX wagon, something I've been on record saying I'd buy if they ever bothered. And I did. Still, I think their brand needs some retuning and more variety.

Now if they'd come out with something remotely sporty I'd buy one too. As of right now I'm just going to buy that 'perfect' S2K once I find it...
