two different cars. IS300's more sporty of the of the two if you are talking about just SPORT. TL-S excellent mix of sport and luxary. TL-S is the better of the two if you want class with a little performance. .

Like Zapata said, you're comparing two different classes of cars. The CL-S and IS300 are closer to compare, but even that's a reach. The TL-S is more luxury then sport, and the IS is more sport then luxury. Depends what you're looking for. Bang for the buck (meaning a fairly equal blend of luxury and sport), the CL-S/TL-S wins hands down.....

Jr. i'd say just just as far off on the cl-S comparo also now the RSX-S would compare very closely and i think would still win...

IS300
Pros:
- Somewhat stylish, although I don't care much for "cleared tail-lights"
- Lexus status
- Excellent handling

Cons:
- Looks like the Jetta and 330i
- Poor gas mileage
- Price
- No luxury interior
- No center console
- Cramped rear seating for a sedan

TL-S
Pros:
- Price!
- Powerful engine
- Nice styling
- Roomy rear seating
- Luxury interior
- Acura/Honda reliability
- Awesome gas mileage

Cons:
- Floaty suspension (fixed with springs)
- BOSE system
- Paint quality? (if it's the same as the CL-S)

Have I missed anything?

If you notice I said that the CL-S was still a reach

You're right though, the RSX-S is closer to the IS300 as far as perfomance goes, but the CL-S / TL-S is closer in price.....

the only thing that the is300 has going for it is handling and the style. It has no comfort or speed. SO its all depends what you are looking for. The TLS has both comfort and speed, and handling can be improved but still not as well tuned as the is300 when it comes to handling.

Interior is differnt altogether... if you want more of a sport the go is300 but the Interior of the TLS in alot better. Thats what i think.

Also in my case i picked the TLS cuz i didnt want to have to worry about driving in the snow. Since its a FWD car.

And i dont like the rear too much of the is300...

perfect car would be a TLS Coupe!!

O come one guys IS300's arent that much. I thought they were like $34,000 thats not much for aweasome brakes, superb steering, superb handling, smooth engine, styling, reliability, and a most likely high 6 second 0-60's (manual).

I would concur with most of what you stated. HOWEVER, Lexus has had the upperhand on Quality, Reliability and Customer Service for years now. As a matter of fact in some of the most recent surveys Lexus was again on top. Acura a few spots behind, and Honda got beat by Chrysler in the Overall Passenger Car segment. CHRYSLER!!!

Seems to me that Lexus owners never complain about their cars, even when they have problems. I see it as a status thing. I also feel that Honda has owned the reliability title for many years. As for Chrysler, I traded in my 1998 Sebring LXi for my 2001 CL-S. What a POS it was! I had it for two years an it was always having problems.

I dumped a Chrysler for the Acura as well. That has nothing to do with the fact Honda's quality and reliability rep is slipping. It's getting worse every year, and it looks like they are not concerned about it. They are so entrenched in the American market now, that they are starting to get an American auto company attitude.

Did you know that earlier this year American Honda demanded sites like "alldata" remove any and all references to Honda TSB's from it database. They didn't want this information out in the public. Hmmmm??? I wonder why?

Wow, that's news to me. Although, I can certainly see how they would get to the point they're at. None of the other Jap manufacturers, as far as I know, produce cars in the U.S.
