TL spec A question

Dad(which works for Honda of America motor plant in Anna) brought home a memo saying next month they will have the TL spec A at the L.A. autoshow.
it says it will have more performance than the regular TL.(will the TL spec A replace TL-S) my guess is this will put it up in the 300 HP range. out of the factory(which is pretty good for a stock V-6). also I wonder how much more the Spec A option will be.

if any of you guys are going to the L.A. autoshow take some pics please and post.

I'm going to the Detriot Auto Show next month. I'm really surprised they aren't introducing it there because the Detroit auto show is HUGE. it's probably the biggest autoshow in America.

I found some info on the A spec on hondanews.com

#1. It's currently offered on all 04 TLs
#2. it's 5200 bucks minus installation
here's what it includes:
-High performance, track-tuned shocks and springs
-Performance brake pads (automatic transmission-equipped models)
-Lightweight 18x8.5 alloy wheels
-High performance Yokohama 235/40-R18 95W tires
-Choice of deck lid or rear wing spoiler
-Aero kit
-A-SPEC steering wheel
-A-SPEC badging

kind of pricey package if you ask me for what your getting.

More performance doesn't necessarily mean more horse power. Mostlikely just better rubber, brakes, and suspension.

From everything i've seen and read on the A spec they've never talked about making more HP.

You mean PLUS installation...

For $5200 bucks, I can't even remotely make myself think this is a good deal.

While I'm sure it'll look good, $5200 bucks can go a LONG way in aftermarket stuff which would probably exceed the A-spec stuff.

the price is prolly right tho!

2000 for rims/tires
1200 for kit(usual factory price)
1200 shocks and springs
300 brake kit
600 spoiler

all full factory pricing makes it sound about right.

Water-S.

Your dad is talking about the new TL A-Spec "Concept". NOT the A-spec package!

The 5200 buck ASpec package is availible now, your dad is talking about the Concept ASpec, as Nashua said. The concept is going to have "powertrain upgrades" (AWD? More HP?) and a widebody track. If they put AWD, 300hp, and all the regular ASpec tweaks, that car would be awesome, but it would also be upwards of $40k, so IMHO it wouldn't really be worth it. I'd take an S60R in that range.
