TL-S Rims
I went to the Dallas Auto Show today and finally got to see a TL-S up close. What a great looking car!
I took a close look at the rims and noticed that they are very similar to mine, but they don't "bow" out nearly as much.
Do you guys think they will scratch as easy? What's their width? I heard 6.5" vs my 7".

there is also a slight recession around the edge not like most wheels that have a lip but smoothed out and rounded.

I have a TL-S brochure right in front of me. The TL wears P205/60 R16 x 6.5 All-Season tires. While the TL-S wears wider, lower-profile P215/50 R17 x 6.5 All-Season tires.

They should fit fine on the CL-S. Apparently, the only difference between the two are their width. The tire size is the same for both.

Perhaps they chose the narrower width to help "curb" enrollment into the Scratched Rim Club? (
sorry for the pun)
Given their narrower width, you could probably save a few lbs per wheel by replacing the CLS rims with TLS ones. (Pure speculation on my part) The cost justification of getting the Acura rims over aftermarket ones would be a tough call though.

6G TLX-S
US TL-S's are equiped with 17x6.5" rims. Canadian TL-S's are equiped with 17x7" rims. I don't know why there's a difference.
