TL End of Lease inspection

TL End of Lease inspection
So the lease on my 2013 TL Tech is ending in 6 months. I am not going to be leasing\buying another Acura as I am kind of disappointed in the TLX.
I have about $1000-$1400 worth of body work that needs to be done. Mostly dings here and there. Typical wear and tear, but the dings are deep (hood, front, rear bumper, rear passenger door). I got a rough estimate, but most likely it's going to be around a $1000 to fix.
Curious if I should do the work or first do the end of lease inspection? I know with my Audi, they really didn't care about smaller dings. They only charged me for more serious stuff. How is Acura with this type of stuff? Are they going to charge me for every little ding or how do they usually do this? If anyone has some experience, I would appreciate some input. Some people are saying that it will be cheaper just to pay whatever the inspection charges you. That most of the time it's cheaper than going to a bodyshop.

Check your lease documents. On my Acura lease, I have a $2500 damage allowance. I have some scratches I'm just leaving alone as a result. If you have a similar allowance, I wouldn't worry about it.

+1. You could also still wait until the inspection to see what is chargeable. I know with Infiniti you would schedule the inspection around a month before the lease ends and the inspectors use a guide to judge what is chargeable to the customer (like a ding has to be a certain size or a scratch has to exceed a certain length). I'm not sure how Acura is, but I think with Infiniti the wear allowance is really only applicable if you lease another one.

That's a good point, some of these allowances are "loyalty" allowances in that they apply only if you lease another Acura product. Again, check your paperwork. Myself, I'm hoping that Acura will make something that interests me for the next lease in the next 18 months....but that's another topic for another thread and time.
