Timeline for registration on new car?
I purchased my 09 tsx out of state. I live in NY, purchased in NJ.
Dealer told me I should get my new registration within 2 weeks. It's been 3 days over 2 weeks now and nothing yet. Is this normal or should I be worried? I've been in contact with my dealer via e-mail but they are sort of giving me the run around (not intentionally I hope).
My temp tag expires on Aug 16 but I would love to have my perm registration/plates on asap..

I had a similiar occurance with my last car.. my temp tags ran out before DMV had sent me my official tags. I had to go back to the dealership to get another set of 30 day tags because I spoke with DMV and they said they wouldn't waive any points or anything if I got a ticket.. and I spoke to the local PD and they said theyd still ticket.
When I got my TL-S, the dealer gave me perm tags, my registration, etc. all at the time of purchase.
I wouldn't say you should be worried because you have another week or two.. if you didn't get them towards the Aug 16 date.. then i'd be more worried.
And, I am not sure about your state.. But I know with VA - You can go online to see if they have a car registered under your Customer ID / Name. If you have it.. it'd at least tell you if theyve processed it and the tags are just in the process of being sent.

When I ordered my custom plates for the Santa Fe, I got a temp tag from the DMV that instant and was told that when the custom paperwork went through, the plates already on the car would drop out of the system. The wait time for the custom plates was 8-10 weeks (I waited 7) but the temp sticker was valid for 3 months.
I'd wait before you really start to panic.
