Tickets and out of state tags..
Can cops write tickets for something that is illegal in their state, but not the state the vehicle is registered in?
Example- In Florida, its legal to have the 2 front windows tinted. If i visit California, where i've heard its illegal, can a cop stop me and write me tickets for it?

everytime ive ever gotten a ticket its been in another state.
itd be kind of silly to not be able to give someone a ticket for speeding because they are from another state.
and having out of state plates just make you MORE of a target to cops, they love nailing outsiders.

I know people who move here from states that only require rear plates, and cops keep trying to give them tickets for it... just a hassle for them keep getting the tickets overturned again and again...cops here sucks.

I would think that if it is legal in your state you should get away with it, but I really don't know how it works.
What if you have a car that would not pass smog? Could you get in trouble for driving it in California if you were just visiting?
Some of it probably depends on how big of an asshole the cop wants to be too.
